Hubby and i wanted a sling for our babies but couldn't afford a new one...

so this morning i made one myself!!!! I am really happy with it and surprised it turned out so nicely as i have not done a lot of sewing...

it's always good to have the ability to sew. my wife and her youngest daughter have made quilts together and i have one for me and and my wife. Monica made a wolf one for my wife and an army cammo one for me, i use it for a blanket, and the dog loves that wolf one. it covers the couch that cheyenne seems to sleep on alot.

Baby slingshots!!! COOL!!!

Oh,wait...you meant........oh! Nice job! :oops

:D

very cute amielou....oh....you were talking about the slingy thing :lol you did a great job. maybe you have an entrepreneurial spirit and didn't know it! :)

aww thanks everyone :) i was very happy about it and the girls love it and it makes my life a LOT easier with two babies being able to cuddle / carry both of them at once and still have a free hand :) i am currently on the look out for some really nice fabric to make another one, like a more dressy one.. and i want to do a denim one for winter but not sure if my sewing machine will take the denim as it is very thick and heavy...

Hey Amy....if you want some cheap materials try something like Spotlight, they're pretty cheap, although Lincraft would probably have better range. I'm in Sydney so I'm not sure if they've got those down in Victoria.

Yeah there's a spotlight near mum's pace about half an hour up the road from our place, (and i'm a VIP so i get a discount ;) :) ) we're probably going to go down there on the weekend so i might get something nice then :) :clap
