John 18
[37] Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
(But all do not, huh!)
[38] Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
[39] But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one [at the passover:] ...'
John 19
[14] And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
[15] But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priest answered, We have no king but Caesar.
....
[19] And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
[20] This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
....
[30] When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
[31] The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for[that sabbath day] was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. (note Lev. 23:6 + verses 9-14)
(And what high day was that? Passover John 19:20 stated above! Note Moses laws here in ..
2 Chron. 8
[13] Even after a certain rate every day, [[[offering according to the commandment of Moses,]]] on the sabbath s, and on the new moon s, and on the solemn feast s, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of week s, and in the feast of tabernacle s.)
Back to John..
John
[1] The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
(Got that?? Wink! It was between sunset at the end of the six day of preparation, & still was not daylight of the first [[working day]] of the week. Yet, note the Inspiration of [EARLY!] Today's ones would liken that to early sun.stuff, but 'i' see it as just after the 7Th Day Sabbath ending! The women had all of the spices pre/pared & were only awaiting sunset, to do a work that they would never do on their Lord Christ's Sabbath! And do you think that they waited for daylight??? You best think again!! Inspiration has it otherwise! And if you don't understand when [ALL] of the day's of creation started & ended?? Go to Gen. 1 & find out.)
[2] Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
[3] Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
....
[10] Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
[11] But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,
[12] And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
(Remember now, that it was still dark & that Mary was crying!)
[13] And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
[14] And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
[15] Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
[16] Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
(You know? this should bring tears to your eyes as well!)
[17] Jesus saith unto her,Touch me not; for [I am not yet ascended to my Father:] but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
(This to is finding Christ after three days from His death saying that He had not yet ascended to His Father or into heaven, which voide's out what is falsely taught about the repentant thief going right to heaven, which has the coma in the wrong place is all.)
....
[19] Then the same day [at evening,] being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
[20] And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
(Still the Sat. past sunset evening as we understand the day starting at midnight. But what the old timers tried to falsely teach & say was a sun. worship service. But read it over why they were there! + the time element!)
OK: A little bit of my added 'highlighted + remarks. But, it does not take much spiritual discernment to find satan casting 'doubts' into Christ's Born Again ones 'head' about Christ's Resurrection, and His Blessed, Sanctified, and 'Set Aside' 7Th Day Sabbath being Eternal & for Holy Use! Even in the anointing of His Body for Burial one sees Obedient Sabbath keeping!
