If this 'triune nature' was UNDERSTOOD by the apostles, then it was certainly TAUGHT by the apostles. Yet we KNOW that this is NOT SO. It is YOU that have made the claim that Tertullian was simply elaborating on the understanding of the apostles.

Wait, maybe I AM confused as to your words. Perhaps you are refering to DIFFERENT apostles?

You CANNOT have it both ways. Either 'trinity' WAS taught by the apostles or it wasn't. Now, let us get at least THIS MUCH clear: Did the APOSTLES teach 'trinity' or NOT? It's a simply question, how about a SIMPLE answer?

did you read anth's post or thread about tertullian. i was misled to believe that tertullian was speaking about trinity according to the catholic doctrine of God in 3 persons but he wasn't.

he was speaking of it in terms of 3 dispensations which is correct, not 3 persons. for the apostles prophecied of another dispensation to come which is the dispensation of the Holy ghost which i believe began around 1946 in the ministry of william branham. for the aostles said, in the dispensation of the fulness of times when all things shall be fulfilled...

paul was an apostle according to the dispensation of Christ-the dispensation of the Son
