We Remember

In a true free country the government does not have anything compulsory on it's citizens as that is forcing people to do something against there will.

The military doesn't want unwilling recruits anyway. Something like 70% of youngsters don't meet the physical fitness standards, so they couldn't get in if they wanted to. The military also doesn't want to give expensive training to people who won't stay in long enough for the training to be worthwhile.

How can they harm the public when they are already restrained by the authorities?. Thats why people get sent to prison.

Yeah that's what we all assume, but what if they were to escape?

Then why did they ever use the draft in the first place? During the wars they needed people to fight and if they were going on volunteers alone and nobody volunteered then they would be in trouble.

Long ago they used the draft during major wars (WWI, WWII, Civil War) because they could not get enough volunteers. They tried to use the draft to save money during Korea and Vietnam, but that didn't work out too well. Nowadays, war machines are so complicated that it takes a long time to learn how to use them proficiently. The military today tries to find people with above average intelligence to run their machines, who also have enough strength to carry a lot of weight.

Most military jobs are non combat jobs, but mostly those jobs still take a long time how to learn to do them well. Best to train people who plan to make a career of the military, or at least stay around for enough years to make training them worthwhile.

That is not a very good reason for a judge to sentence someone to death. Reason for death sentence, they could escape. Not a fair reason, that is more a weak excuse.

They could possibly try to escape and escape, but they haven't, so it's not a fair reason to sentence someone to death on just an assumption like that.

Jesus is truth. Why give up on people and have no mercy. If I only love people and pray for people who love me, what reward do I have?. Its true.

And I dont think this because I want to try please Jesus. I just know what he said is true and I believe its true.

If God has mercy on me I should have mercy on others and never wish death on anyone.

Its like saying God forgives me and has mercy on me as a sinner because I repented but your a sinner who has not so should get a penalty. Thats just wrong. Its just selfish.

Loving and forgiving a person of their crimes doesn't make them any less guilty and doesn't mean that they don't deserve punishment any less in my book.

Don't get me wrong I still believe in prison time, just not the death sentence. It gives no one a second chance even if they repent from there wrong, have remorce, apologise, and are rehabilitated.

And it doesn't really give anyone hope if they know it's there sentence so it doesn't help them come to there senses to be rehabilitated and remorceful if they know they have no hope of a second chance.
