Chicago? Yes I've been there. I've flown through there, I have visited there, and been there for training classes a number of times. So no valley in the flat lands. I don't even like to fly through there anymore, let alone stay there.

My bump in the road? Close, but no. My avatar is a picture I took when I visited Monument Valley which actually is in Arizona, but I do not live there. I don't know, but the picture in my avatar always makes me think of an altar carved by the hand of God, not hewn by the hand of man.

Anyways, I live in a place called "the meadows" in a different tongue.

Yesterday, when this thread was started it was fair skies and about 78 degrees with 54% humidity putting the dew point at about 60 with moderate winds at 13mph and gusting up to 24. Very comfortable nice day. Today it is currently sunny and 72 with a 59 degree dew point and 5mph winds on our way to an expected high of 86.

Sorry, didn't mean to start you all drooling.

As I sop through the jungles of Madagascar, I remember there are those that feel a summer breeze and think life is one big lollipop.

Here in Northwest PA it is hot! hot! hot and sooooooooooooooo humid, I'm melting "MELTING" I say !!! Even a will not cool me off.

Yesterday was 91 and sunny and today 86 with an overcast which I hope will turn to rain later on tonight. Instead of these belly gusher rains we have had so far this summer we need a slow steady rain as we are on well water, which surprisingly is holding up so far.
We are a fickle people though as we complain winter is to cold and can't wait till summer then summer is to hot and can't wait till fall. Spring is just out there in left field I guess .
