An apple. That was along shot. I'll give Jethro partial credit for that. ;) That drove me nuts, but I kept thinking of buildings.

Ok, what black and white and re...no, I'm not going to let you off that easy! lol.

Voiceless it cries,
Wingless it flutters,
Toothless bites,
Mouthless mutters.

I hope I have that right.
 
I heard that one before (and thus know the answer, so I'm disqualified from taking a guess :sad), but the two last lines were different: Voiceless it cries, wingless it flutters, lifeless it dies, bodiless it shudders.
But your version works, too.

I wasn't sure if I had it exactly right. My memory isn't what it used to be. But it's close enough to be accurate enough to be able to discern the answer. (How you doing lately Claudya? Doing ok? I've been praying for you and have some prayer warriors from church praying for you too)

Your version of the riddle works perfectly fine, and it rhymes beautifully, too.
I've been doing rather bad the last weeks to be honest, I can only hope that my suffering will in the end teach me something and make me a stronger and better person.
I'll possibly update the prayer request thread I started some time next week. Thank you very much for your prayers, they are appreciated. :yes
