What Are You Going to be for Halloween?

omg i <3 halloween!!!!! :D and hey i'm almost 24 and still dressing up LOL i do have a baby so that's partially an excuse but i did before lol.

i'm probably going to be a witch, unless i can find a good vampire costume.

hubby is either going to be something scary or nacho libre lol

and baby is going to be my very own baby cullen hahaha (vampire)

Halloween was one of those worldly activities I felt God leading me away from when I was saved.

I cannot see how a holy and righteous God would accept his children participating in a day that glorifies pagan beliefs and evil.

I'm sure many in the nation of Israel during the Exodus thought the calf worship and ensuing drunken party was just a "good time" as well. You can remember how that turned out.

Unless you were at a party full of hicks.. and I was drunk with a sombrero on.. I think you have the wrong black Jesus!

If the party was in NW Oklahoma I was there! I was the one the Klingon on vacation! :D

just wanted to add i don't celebrate halloween bc it's a "pagan" holiday. i just love all the fun about it, dressing up, all the decorations, spookiness.

it's all in fun for me.

Halloween is nothing but innocent fun. Nothing wrong with letting the kids dress up in costumes and grab some candy and have a great time. If you let them worship the devil or something insidious then that is a different story. ;)

I can't really see comparing the American Halloween with the children of Israel worshiping the golden calf. The key word here is worshiping. They really were worshiping that calf, it wasn't something done for fun. Trick-or-treaters aren't worshiping anyone.

However, Halloween is one of those things that if one doesn't feel freedom to participate in, then one shouldn't participate in it. Simple as that.

But please remember folks, Holloween is litterally the most satanic holy day on the calendar. Be careful.

When we partake, it's kinda like standing in agreement with those who do Satanic worship, so please pray about this issue.

For halloween, I'm just being me. I don't really like halloween anymore coz its just not the same where i live anymore!. so i would rather have a wee cosy night in than be out trick or treating

Halloween has always been sketchy ground for me. Seeing its pagan roots. Then...that is the issue even with some of our Christian holidays....they mostly have pagan roots. So how can we take a biblical approach on Halloween?

Jesus wants us to be holy and righteous as He is. Christians should stay away from all worldly practices and traditions.

Then I sugest you stop celebrating Easter and Christmas. Since Emperor Constantine took the fertility festival and made it easter, and turned the winter solstice festival into Christmas.

Maybe if we still called Halloween is the evening before all saints days. Do people actually crack history books anymore?

Thank you Lance for reminder, yes, you are right. I won't celebrate Easter and Christmas either. Every day is christmas to my family for Jesus.

I don't really celebrate Halloween.....I just give out candy to the people that come to our house.

Then Christmas is out too....its original origins...as much as it pains me to say it...were not godly. Living a Christ like life...is by no means an easy task. In fact, at times...it seems impossible. For so much of what we do, think, or say can be classified as a sin. Then...I guess I am not a real believer in Christ...so I cannot say anything...

Jesus says "anything is possible with God."

the same as the above.

take care.
