What Are You Thankful For This Year?

This year has been kinda boring...
But I'm thankful for the opportunity to touch the lives we have. (The "Mrs" and I)

I'm thankful for my friends.
That I dodged a bullet and only have to cook one Thanksgiving meal.
Physical therapy has given me more use of my shoulder.
Vehicles and appliances have been trouble but we've been able to meet them all.
My wife's job also went kaput but she starts a new one in a week...

All kinds of major problems...but we've been able to fix all of them and still do "stuff" for others that have affected their lives.

I'm hopeful for a better year next year.

Just think though, you also have to be thankful that God helped you get through the rough times and that you're still here anyways. :) (And you better always be here or otherwise when we meet each other on the other side there's going to be words! :hips)

Uh no,.. she's like seventy something years old lol!! :lol Of course that's only the outside as you're only as old as you feel on the inside. :) Btw, I forgot to mention that anybody can reply to this thread even if they're not American as I would think that everybody has something to be thankful for. Oh and this is to get us in the mood for Thanksgiving. :biggrin I will post the entire lyrics in a few moments.

Yep, Body ages and mirror says I'm old.....so why do I like Venus Hum singing I Feel Love in her electric dress on Youtube?

I realize that I'm sounding like a broken record today but happy Thanksgiving everybody! :biggrin I apologize that this is so late but luckily you can watch the playback on YouTube! There were a lot of crazy things happening so far today. :whirl(The virtual Thanksgiving dinner will be later on when I get back from my real one. :biggrin)

I'm thankful that all the food turned out great.

All dishes turned out successful and good. A fusion cuisine of North (Yankee) and Southern foods combined.

And hey, it's been decades since I've made some of these things... like pumpkin pie...or been decades since I've had success with pecan pies...

My infamous honey-oatmeal bread tasted great but the texture was off.
*Sigh*...story for another day.

From the Watergate Salad and green bean casserole and cornbread dressing gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, glazed carrots, acorn squash...it all was good.

What a relief. Lots of fun times and good friends.

The boys liked the Watergate Salad because of the marshmallows...and I made sure that they got the wishbone to make a wish over.

Good times. Even my friend's mother-in-law ate two plates full... she is geriatric and Peurto Rican...they usually don't do much for Thanksgiving...but this year they got the whole treatment. They were thrilled.

Yeah it was a rather strange Thanksgiving for me lol first the television was acting up, then when I got a cramp over at my cousin's house it turned into the Hokey Pokey, (Because they were telling me to shake it out as well as a bunch of other mad and crazy things XD!! :rofl2) and then we played a game that involved throwing rubber chickens plus a game call Buzz Words or something.

I sort of had a bit trouble with my sinuses but after all that fun it helped me feel better. :tongue You had to really be there though. :hysterical (Unless you didn't want to get wacked with a rubber chicken that is. Don't ask, my family is strange. :biggrin2

Btw, does anybody want some virtual Thanksgiving turkey? :wink
