What can a lost person do? A lost person can:
1. Read and study the bible
2. Go to church, pray, teach, preach, and give
3. Help the poor
4. Can carry on bible discussions and talk about:
Doctrine, Christ, deity, the everlasting gospel, the law, water baptism, the King James Bible, the trinity, prophecy, and the tribulation, etc. But…but… the lost man can have no understanding or little true understanding of the above for the natural man received not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
So, a lost person can carry on doing "christian" things and most will not even notice.
Point 4 is why I am slowing tuning out of forums these days. I see true Christian forums as being a place where true saints are coming together to look at the scriptures to find truth and discuss the great doctrines for the purpose of growing in grace and in the knowledge of God. This is not happening.
Instead what is going on are forums appear to be dominated by some saints trying to convince lost people of spiritual doctrines. This is not a good use of time. So, this is one of the reasons for chaos on forums today.
The second reason for chaos on forums to day is that once a discussion gets going there is still no hope for truth to surface for there are multiple and conflicting authorities. Ex. – one might say, “In verse 27 it says…†then the responder says,, “But in the Greek/Hebrew, Nestles, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Living bible, the NIV, NASV, my church, pope, professor, neighbor, Joyce Meyer, etc…..or my other 99 different bibles, it says..â€Â
Folks there can be no real spiritual discussions so as to arrive at real truth as long as forums are dominated by unregenerate people with multiple authorities.
