What can you do with oat?

I just bought a pack of oat and I mixed it up with yoghurt. Needless to say, it tasted horrible as if I am eating some paper boxes.

Just a quick question, though.

How do you serve oat with?

I toss some oats in a food processor in order to make up oatcakes. Love those!

(Recipes to make oatcakes can be found online.)

Best Oatmeal Cookie ever!

"Alice's Oatmeal Rounds"

Oven at 375 f

1 c sugar
1/2 Crisco 1/2 softened butter (not margarine!!!!) blended together
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup oats
1 3/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Mix together sugar, shortening/butter, eggs and vanilla.
Mix together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Blend dry ingredients into wet ingredients.

Roll dough into little 1" balls. If you like flatter, crispier cookies, flatten the balls with a fork prior to baking. If you like a thicker cookie, don't. Bake for 10 min.

Oats can be used to make meatballs.
Use sparingly as they will otherwise dry out the meatballs.
Experiment.
Done right they make a great tasting meatball.

Are you talking about whole oats or rolled oats? Rolled oats are readily available in most grocery retailers and used in a wide variety of things but whole oats might be a little different.
