What did Paul not like about Mark ?

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.(Acts 15:37-39)

Mark (perhaps a bit immature in his youth), had run out on Paul and Barnabus, abandoning the missionary labors he had volunteered for.
Paul looked on this as an indication that Mark lacked the commitment and dependability necessary for the work at hand.

Barnabus was more forgiving, and wanted to give Mark an opportumity to prove himself, while Paul seemed to have no confidence in the young man. The dispute finally led Paul and Barnabus to separate and head into different mission fields.

Incidentally, Paul later changed his opinion of Mark after he proved to be an asset to the Apostle in the last years of his ministry:

Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry. (2 Tim 4:11)
