What do you do for a living?

Hello,
I'm new to this board. My name is Andrew Hunter and I am a Certified Management Accountant. I am the Program Manager for a software development company. I also have my own business where I coach Christian business owners and professionals in ways to maintain a healthy work life balance with godly integrity.

My job is nothing really to brag about, though it can prove quite rewarding. I am currently working as a respite care provider.

after getting laid off, I decided to give full-time blogging a shot and by the grace of God I can finally say that it is making me more money than my old-day job... needless to say, I enjoy what I do now a lot more than my 9-5

still in school, but do brochure deliveries as a part time job.

Hope to get into the web desiging/developing world in a few years.

Hi All - Wow, there are a lot of really interesting careers here. I am a freelance marketing communications writer and I write mostly nonfiction pieces such as press releases, website copy, brochures, and ads. Right now though, money is tight so I'm not really being picky about the assignments I take on. :)

I love what I do because I've known since I was a child that I'm called to write. Unfortunately, I haven't always used my talents for God's glory, but fortunately, He waited patiently for me to come home and now He is blessing my writing endeavors and I am so thankful.

I also love what I do because I get to meet, and work with, a lot of different people and people interest me a lot. If anyone here ever needs any marketing or PR advice, I'd be happy to try to help. I love to learn and consider myself a lifelong student. I actually do have my Bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in Marketing from Florida State University, but I am continuing to study marketing and PR on my own now and will someday go back for my Masters degree.

Well, I used to be a HVAC tech then I hurt myself and could not do that type of work anymore, so I went back to school for computer programming/computer science. Right now I maintain the City's council database where I live and I am the Administrations' personal computer guy. If the City Clerk, City Manager or Mayor needs help with Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint or whatever, I am the one they call. I also help maintain their Television Network (Channel 11 where I live). Although this is all fun, I am going back to school this fall and work towards becoming an accountant since I love keeping track of data and stuff(Don't ask me why, I just do lol). Pray that I finish. :-D God Bless.

retired chief from uscg after 24 years. spent a long time chasing bad guys in the bahamas. now im relaxing on a 44 sailboat in hopetown elbow cay, bahamas takling to my wife about a possible passage to the azores next year.

I spent 12 years in furniture retail management. worst 12 years of my life! I now have a computer training business and I am also an ICT administrator and teacher at a local school. I left the furniture retail trade 2 years ago because it is not ethical trading (at least from my perspective). The trading was mainly credit and we were ripping off the poorer people.
I know work long days because of my job and my business, but I am happier. I feel I am contributing to society and improving the lives of people. It has not been easy making the change from a financial perspective, but from a personal and spiritual perspective it has been amazing. :yes
