We're not even gods yet because we are an unfinished work...But He gave us the power to become sons of God.. We're all Children of God and Jesus was very plain in Psalm 82 that we are;

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.../

Not at all. He was speaking to those who were placing themselves in the place of "gods" - that of judging others.

God steps into the midst of them and corrects them for not judging correctly - even though they claimed to be as "gods" in their judgement. Yet in the end, they themselves are found to be wicked.

Luk 9:49-50
John answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not follow with us.”
But Jesus said to him, “Do not stop him, for the one who is not against you is for you.”

I'll admit, this is a HARD saying for me to understand. But I believe it is true. What we have to do is understand that Jesus did not mean that we just let everyone do their own thing, just that those who are not against us we should let alone. I think that when someone is against you, then you have the right(and power from Him) to stop them - maybe even the obligation?

Because he is the Lamb who took away the sin of the world and through his death broke the power of the devil and he rise from the dead, and he also said be of good cheer I have overcome the world.

And this "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,"

I would say thats a positive message to all that believe in him.

No,that's the pharissees,and those levites.they did have power to do alot.
Did Jesus teach us to slay these after a council of judgement?
Witches,fornicators,liars,murderers,adulteres? No! But in the Torah only the priests could do this.

I believe God is a part of us. Scripture clearly teaches we are the temple of God and God dwells in us, so if you are the temple and God dwells in you what are you?. Christ took away the sin of the world.

And the body of Christ means one with Christ a part of him, as he is one with God. So we are all one with Christ who is one with God.

We are all one in God and God is one in us.
 
I still dont understand why these Pastors think its ok to use the churches donations to purchase private jets and multiple houses and deck there churches with luxury unneeded items and ornaments.

Surely the donations could go to better use and were given with the expectations from Christ to go towards needs not wants.

Do you have any names in mind? I know the Bakers were a rotten bunch along with Jimmy Swaggert but I have never been one to pay much attention to 'tele-evangelists' so that is about as far as my knowledge about them goes......

I dont give names.

Anyhow, people work and give to the church in good faith as it's suppose to be a community and one body of Christ, but just like every other crooked system in the world, it always favours the few at the top.

I come from an Assemblies of God background... Dad and Grandpa both ministers... it hurts deeply to know Swaggart, Bakker, Crouch, Scott, Hinn, Allen, all creepy jerks are of the AofG background... AofG today for the most part is deep into 'new age'

When we cover up sin... it eats like a cancer... cancers are not pretty
 
One body of Christ. Where everyone donates and only the very few at the top get highly rewarded and everyone else gets nothing. One in Christ. :biggrin2

Kind of reminds me of the govn, everyone pays tax and only a few at the top get rewarded.

this is the only description i have found in scripture of the Kingdom of God..
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
 
The whole system is babylon, its what Jesus come to level.

The whole idea that people are higher than others. The whole system of few get rewarded and many suffer, and behind it all is a rule that creates it.

God obviously had to usher in a rule of law to teach mankind right from wrong, but its also a curse. It automatically creates division. Authority has to make a rule and where the rule is creates Inequality. How do you think a King sits on his throne luxury in Gold the highest of the highest and it it goes down in rank and the masses are equally weak. Thats the total opposite of Christ.


What I dont get is Adam had a conscience of what's right and wrong as soon as God gave the first command. Adam had the knowledge of Good and Evil before he even eat from the tree. Gods law was already written in mind. He knew good from evil. Eat from the tree bad, don't eat from the tree good.

And exposing it is just as crooked. The whole thing is a curse. If they don't know the law people still sin as sin was in the world before the law was given but where there is no law there is no transgression , and then...

"For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death."
