What if you discovered this life is actually already Heaven?

We are in Heaven. But we don't know it. ???
Hard to believe when you have problems like ;
Covid
Political divide.
Violence
War
Child cancer
Awful murders
Awful natural disasters
Poverty.
Starvation

But Buddhists will say it's just a state of mind. This life can be Heaven if we adopt the right attitude.....apparently.....

My life feels like heaven sometimes. But my problems are minimal. If I was in a wheelchair, I might feel different .

I see a danger in expecting our next life to be Heaven.
Or Hell for that matter.
We might take our eyes off what is good now

Except we are told in revelation there will be no more tears, war etc etc etc
So unlike the ' wee free' belief this is not the after life.
( See Terry Pratchett's disc world novels. )

Thanks to The Lord there will be none of those things.
Death where is thy sting?

I benefit from Living in the present. I find anxiety stems from worrying about future events or ruminating in past regrets. Mindfulness helps to slow down my brain and look at what’s happening right now. I benefit from a lot of concepts in Buddhism. The problem I have with Buddhism is the lack of reasoning for morality. There is no god In Buddhism. Why be good, why do The right thing. There is an emptiness for me. My conscious guides me. I want to do the moral thing. I think that’s proof there is a God.

So refreshing to read your post here. Sounds to me like you are very open minded. I felt exactly the same. That's why I moved on from Buddhism.

I'm just a day at a time gal making the most of each one as I know this life is not heaven here on this earth and so looking forward to the New Jerusalem.
