What Is A Christian?

All christians are born again. Your intermit personal relationship with Lord Jesus started at that time. Your salvation is sealed. You must strengthen your personal relationship with Lord Jesus Christ daily? You must believe in your heart that God loves you. You must obey Lord Jesus Christ greatest commandment (Love God and Love your neighbors). A transformation of the heart is the only way to accomplish this. So you must feed on the word of God daily.

Believing that God loves you and obeying Jesus' greatest commandment is not the Gospel and is not the way to salvation.
Believing that God sent His only begotten son Jesus to die on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins and to satisfy His wrath, that He was buried, and three days later rose from the dead is the only message that saves guilty sinners.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4:

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
 
What you have stated is how the Holy Spirit enters your spirit believing what Lord Jesus did for us on the cross. This is 100% true. The relationship starts at that very moment. God's DNA spreads throughout your insides only if you feed yourself with the word of God daily. Jesus said, "it's by their fruit you will know them".

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Acts 14:22 - Summary = We just don't cruise into a Christ like life. Through much tribulations we are going to enter into God way of doing things. Obedience is crucial to get into heaven and maintaining a intimate personal relationship with Lord Jesus Christ.

Fruit is the evidence of our salvation, not the means of it. We are saved (and sustained) only by God's grace, through our faith in Jesus and His atoning work on the cross. We have no righteousness of our own and therefore, our attempt at works (loving others, reading the Bible, feeding the hungry, going to church, etc.) mean nothing. Jesus did it all, and we can add nothing to His finished work. If our faith is in anything that we do to try and gain God's favor, it's misplaced and pointless because we can't do it. Don't get me wrong, reading your Bible and going to church (and the other stuff) are good things and we should be doing them, but they will not save you nor sustain your faith.

Ephesians 2:8-10 :

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

If you don't feed yourself with God's word (the bible) how will Lord Jesus know you? That person salvation is in question because they didn't really surrender their heart when they where saved. This is why Lord Jesus made the statement I don't know you. This is called intellectual faith that the devil also have.

If you are truly saved (Born Again), then you will want to feed yourself on the Word and grow in your relationship with Christ because you love Him; those who have no desire to read the Bible or grow in their faith were never saved (Born Again) to begin with, so they never knew Jesus, and He never knew them. My point is, as far as salvation goes, the act of reading the Bible (or any self righteous work) has never saved anyone and never will.
You can place your faith in whatever you choose, but I'll trust in Jesus and the work he already accomplished at Calvary and leave it at that.
 
You have made the same point as I have made which I have stated above. 1Samuel 6:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." Your heart must believe what Lord Jesus accomplished at Calvery.

A christian is a person who Believes on The Lord Jesus Christ. If He didnt make it that simple for us, we would not know any Christians. Acts 16:31.

Its a belief, having nothing to do with anybodies behavior.

The devil believes in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This is called intellectual faith. For a christian it is what your heart believes and your relationship with Lord Jesus.
 
Satan does not believe on the Lord Jesus For his salvation. Hence he is not saved. Jesus is our object of salvation. To satan Jesus is an object of opposition.

The Cross is so powerful that if satan ever had a change in belief he would be saved, we just know that satan wont.
 
The bible has 66 books in it and the devil knows them all. As I have stated before satan has a purpose on earth. His purpose for God is to make sure that NO trader ever gets to heaven like himself.

If we all had to know the inner workings of the trinity to be saved,we would all be lost. heck most believers cant get it right after years of believing!

I stand by Acts 16:31 if was any more complicated then that none of us would get saved.

If you believe in Christ you are saved.

you are a Christian by Gods standards, but by men's standards none of us can measure up.

Belief=Christian
unbelief=non Christian.....All based on Christ.

Satans goal and purpose is to keep everyone out of heaven!

Satans goal is to counterfeit everything God does.

Satans goal is to antagonize the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Satans goal is to keep believers from coming to the knowledge of the Truth.

Satans goal is worship of men.

satans goal is to make you believe everything opposite of our creator.

Satans goal is to be like the Most high.....he has a lot of overt similarities to God but inwardly he is complete opposite of God,that is why satan is so darn good at deceiving us!

Your heart must believe than you are saved! The Holy Spirit will talk to you, teach you, guide you when you feed on God's word daily. This is how you obey Lord Jesus greatest two commandments and develop a intimate personal relationship with Lord Jesus. So when you sin know that it is not your spirit that is sinning. It is your flesh. Your spirit has been sealed because of your heart believes.

Always remember God is in control. As I have stated God has a purpose for satan.

I hear ya, its the Christian life your talking about.

Salvation and being a Christian by God's standard is belief in His Son. Acts 16:31

I am strictly talking about salvation and who is a Christian. Belief=Being a Christian in Gods eyes and by Gods standards. Its belief not behavior.

It Just stands to reason that if you believe in Christ for His saving work that you realized you need Savior.

If you just believe that Christ was a good man on this earth,He does nothing for you.

one more thing also, what is your Heart? go check out the original language when the Heart is mentioned in the bible. It has nothing to do with your emotions and how your gut feals, it has everything to do with your brain and objective reasoning.

A pure heart is what allows the Holy Spirit to move in your spirit. Your emotions is your soul. The soul goes to heaven with the spirit. This how we will know our love ones in heaven. God will use people to speak to you in the beginning when you are saved. Later the Holy Spirit will speak to you. You will know His Voice only if you feed on God's word daily. God's roots will spread throughout your body.
