What is a plug?

How do you come to this conclusion?
Easy Gerbilgirl,
God made us because He wanted to love us. Why else make us? Do you think He needs us?

Since God is perfect and all-good, He must want the very best for those He loves, which is us.
The bible is the inspired word of God. It's telling us what God wants us to know so that we could be happier.
He told each generations what that generations could understand. Thus, it's much easier to know what God
wants from what Jesus taught, as compared to what Moses taught, for instance.

So how do I come to the conclusion that God's laws are meant to help us?
Let's look at the 10 Commandments.

1. I Am the Lord, your God, you shall have no other God besides Me.
If you put God first, everything in life works out better because God teaches us what is good and right to do.
It's easy to have another God: Your car could be a God, your work could be your God. This could bring unhappiness.
Cars get old, work makes us tired and causes us to neglect those we love.

2. Do not take the name of God in vane.
God is to be respected. Our words toward Him show if we respect Him or not.
If we don't, why should we listen to Him? If we don't listen to Him, we cannot live a proper life as Jesus taught.

3. Remember to keep Holy the Lord's day.
It's important and helps us in many ways to take a day off. To rest. To give Glory to God. It helps us to begin a new week rereshed and ready for the world which may or may not be friendly toward us.

4. Honor your Father and your Mother.
If we honor our parents we get along better with them. Family life is made pleasant - this makes us happier.

You could go down the entire 10 Commandments and you'll find that it is easy to understand how God makes Laws to make us have a happier life. Is there one you don't agree with? Probably not, if you think about it. I'd be happy to go through all 10 if you'd like.

5. Do not commit murder.
6. Do not commit adultery.
7. Do not steal.
8. Do not give false testimony.
9. Do not desire your neighbor's wife.
10. Do not desire your neighbor's goods.

Thank you for sharing but that's not how I see it.

I see it as Jesus died for everyone, gays included.
Gerbilgirl,
I didn't say He didn't. Jesus died for everyone who will accept Him.

In my post I was speaking about how you don't understand that God's laws are for our own good.
I listed the 10 Commandments and tried to show how they are.

Do you agree that God's laws are for our good?

God is for the good, that I am certain of, but since the Bible was not written by God himself sometimes I question if everything in it is accurate.

You're right Gerbilgirl.
God did not sit at a desk and write the bible.
The Old Testament was INSPIRED by God. Men wrote the words, in man's language, under the inspiration of God.

But the N.T. cannot be denied. To deny it is to deny that Jesus is God's Son and that He knew what he was talking about.
Add to that the fact that after Jesus left our earth, Paul and Peter and John and Judas and Mathew and others that either knew Jesus personally, or knew the person that did, wrote about Jesus and what He believed.

There is no doubt that you can trust the New Testament 100%.
