What is eternal liife?

Eternal life (John 17:3) is to know God. To know God is to know and accept His ways. Those who know Him, therefore, do His will (Marr 7:21-23). His will is this, that we love one another as He has loved us (John 12:15). He loved us by humbling Himself to take a human form (in the person of Jesus) and suffering the most painful death in order to bring forgiveness to us, who were unfaithful to Him, betrayed Him and killed Him. Eternal life, therefore, is a life that has surrendered its will to God; sacrificed its own interest to serve others; and has forgiven and healed those who have been unfaithful to it, betrayed it and hurt it.

MY COMMENTS: If we have eternal life, how come we die?

Only our "tent" dies....our spirit is what counts.
When these corruptible bodies give out we'll be given a glorified body. Much better. :yes

And as Jesus said, there's no marriage in heaven because we're all 'as angels'.
Anyway suppose we meet our dear old gran in heaven, will she look old and frail as we remember her?
No, that's why heaven is heaven, a plane of spiritual existence that we simply can't put into words, hence my earlier 'Soul Poul' analogy

..This makes no sense in regards to my signature..

Sorry, I must have misunderstood your sig which reads- "If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it."--Ravi Zacharias

And as I said, any religion without Jesus in it is ludicrous, surely?

But again, the angels are distinct from one another, just as Jesus is distinct from the Father, so your 'soul pool' analogy fails.

And it is more than a spiritual existence.

I think you understood my sig, I just think that saying "any religion without Jesus in it is ludicrous" would be an example of what the quote is referring to. I do not think that other religions are ludicrous simply because they don't believe Jesus to be who the Bible says he is.

The Bible calls them liars, surely you're not arguing with the Bible?
"A liar denies Jesus is the Christ, and is an antichrist" (1 John 2:22/23)

Will you join me in this prayer?- "Father, if there are going to be people in heaven who don't believe Jesus is your son, i don't want to go to heaven, amen"

Yes, man must be born again in order to inherit eternal life. But how is man born again?
By grace you are saved through faith...
By turning to and believing in Jesus Christ.
The Word is filled with verses that explain it very well.

Like this one perhaps?

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

That would be one...here we see a picture.
Deuteronomy 30:6 said:
And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
Col. 2:10-13 said:
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
