what is hell?

Finding fault with God is nothing new,the serpent said that God was holding out on Adam and Eve, Adam said that it was the woman GOD GAVE that made him sin(so it was really the fault of God), Cain was mad at God for cheating him(so he thought),the people of Israel continually blamed God for their troubles, finally the human race had God in a physical body and so they murdered Him. People continue to find fault and hate God,nothing new there.

That is the oddest thing I've read here in weeks.

I'm not sure just what you are trying to say.

....

We cannot trust God if He is not honest, otherwise our faith in God is pointless because it could easily be placed in an abuser, a thief or a stone cold killer. So we must have a right to judge God’s honesty and purpose. If we have to take what God says and does at face value and without question, we could verily easy fall prey to Satan.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Adam and Eve did not ask God for details and thus didn't kow enough about God to know that Satan was lying to them.

The doctrine of eternal torment is unbiblical. Anyone who attempts to support eternal torment using scripture is quickly crushed by mountain of scripture which unambiguously supports annihilation. Here is a good web site that biblically supports annihilation and disproves the doctrine of eternal torment:

Truth According to Scripture - Defending the Christian Faith

I encourage everyone to read the stuff in the "Death and Immortality" section.

Wow...talk about a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Opening post was a heartfelt message, every post since then has been a deep-rooted 'heres what I really wanted to say' dig at God.

Nothing new under the sun I guess.

You are in the wrong place for this kind of talk.

God is the potter, we the clay.

Rom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

God is not the dishonest one here.

Since the Lord is a just God, humans always have a right to question His actions and His purpose. Even the Lord’s very own only begotten Son questioned Him. It is the only means humans have of keeping God honest.

Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Adam and Eve did not ask God for details and thus didn't kow enough about God to know that Satan was lying to them.

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Deu 11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
Deu 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
Deu 11:28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

So I hope you all enjoy your time in hell because that is where your Jesus says you are going.

Yup He is my Jesus. He died in my place that i might be free.

Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Joh 8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
Joh 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Joh 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Dear Reba, I cannot bear to hear you say hell is what keeps you from wanting to not be alive. Please know that I care and I want you to let me in, to at least cry with you, and gently stroke your hand. You are the only one to respond to my post about semantics. There is something special about you having read all of what you have said in this thread. I just know it deep in my heart. My concern is that you would forgive who hurt you, because I am hoping much of your health issues may be tied to that. You might say you have already forgiven, but your words bely that. I have uploaded a writing I sent to another whose cross is heavy even as yours is. Here it is:

Your cross is much greater than mine, I will not begin to think I can tell you how to carry it. But if I may, I would humbly ask if I might share in your pain. For my empathy demands it. And my empathy is that of what I witness to, the cross of Christ.

So why did he forgive those who were so viscious to him, with such wanton brutal malice? For he said forgive them they know not what they do. They know not what they do? Can't they see what they do? Don't they feel? They are beasts. They destroy the trust and Love that everybody born should be able to count on. They take away everything that matters and leave a mans heart hating he ever even knew love. They don't know what they do? Is it possible?

And what if you find out that what was done to you was first done to them? What if you find out that they despised your childhood because they had lost theirs? What if they were infected by the same disease passed down through generations? Will watching them suffer satisfy your anger, or will you relish the thought? For God will punish sin, and without your intercession they will suffer everything you suffered at their hands, and probably worse.

Please understand that the enemy of God is the enemy of Love and wants to kill love and wants to make people hate love. You scorparium is where this battle is being fought. Satan certainly doesn't want you to forgive. That's his MO. He wants to see everybody suffering with him. Satan will say they know exactly what they're doing and they meant to do it. So decide whom you will believe, for the only way you can forgive from the heart is to believe they didn't know what they were doing. But somehow I think you know this deep down. That's what Christianity is, a faith in eternal love. You have the rare oppurtunity to actually walk the walk. The people who did this to you did not believe. But enough, I've said what I had to say. I don't know you. You don't know me. But I will speak for myself concerning why I had to believe Jesus. I had to forgive to become like him, or I became like those people I hated. My sincere prayers are for you.
And so also for you, my dear Reba.
