TRUTH over TRADITION

As we ask why or for what purpose God created man, many pertainant things must be considered. From the creation account, the best answer that can be given is that man was created to exercise proper dominion over the rest of creation and to have a relationship with God. Considering that man was created in the image and likeness of God and was given dominion some would say that God was trying to create Himself in man. This dominion given to man did not seem to sit well with all of God's other creations. Consider The Opposer (The Satan). In scripture he is depicted as a subject of God who is man's arch nemesis. In the courts of God the Satan is said to be accusing man before the Lord.
Now, consider what the Bible says about sin (all have sinned and therefore have fallen short of God's glory) and consider what the Bible says about man in Hebrews 2.

As illustrated, it is quite possible that the glory of God mentioned in Romans has to do with dominion God created man to have. But since all men have sinned, this dominion passed to another temporarily. It seems that that 'other' is the Satan, who is also known as the ruler of the power of the air (Eph 2:1-2). It seems that his accusing of man to God paid off, for man failed and he (Satan) was apparently given dominion in the place of man.
At this point from a human perspective, it's a real bummer. We had it all but we let is slip away, yada, yada, yada..................THEN, Jesus comes along. And Jesus, a man who was tempted in all ways but did not succome to sin and he sacrified himself in order to redeem (purchase) man from the power of the Satan and claim the dominion God created him (man) for. So Jesus, the second Son of God behind Adam, lived up to the glory of God unlike his predicessor and because of that, Jesus has been given a name that is above very name.
So God accomplished His creative purposes in Jesus and never intended for our reality to continue endlessly, so allowing sin, which leads to entropy and death to enter our reality was all a part of His plan and was used in order to gain a Son who would prove worthy of the glory and honor God created man for.
This is where God's mercy comes in. The rest of us men (and women) who all fell short of God's glory are unnecessary with the advent of Jesus, BUT in Jesus, God allows for us to be given a second chance at life. So athough sin brought death, the Divine Gift is age lasting life through Jesus, God's Anointed One.

So, I wish to put forth a theory on man, how he was given dominion, lost it, and how Jesus stepped in to receive dominion removing it from the hands of the one who took the dominion God intended for man. Here's more scripture dealing with that from John 13.

Again, Jesus death is the subject described as what caused power to change hands. His death seems to be the starting point of where whatever governments and powers that had dominion over this world were conquered and stripped of whatever authority they had.
So we have, beginning with the death of Jesus, a change in power and a stripping of authority. This all plays out in the heavenly realm and some say it is described in Revelation 12 which reads:
<TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=6 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 1px inset; BORDER-LEFT: 1px inset; BORDER-TOP: 1px inset; BORDER-RIGHT: 1px inset" class=alt2>

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>For, someone somewhere testified to this fact, when he asked, ‘Just what is man that You should remember him, or the son of man that You should watch over him? 7 Why, You made him a little lower than [Your] messengers; You crowned him with glory and honor; and You put him in charge of everything that You made with Your hands, 8 then You put everything under his feet.’ So, when [God] puts everything under [our feet], He doesn’t leave anything that [men] aren’t in charge of. However, we don’t see everything obeying us yet.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>So Philip went and told Andrew, then Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus. 23 But Jesus replied, ‘The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 I tell you the truth; Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a kernel. But if it dies, it produces much fruit. 25 So, he who is concerned about his life will lose it, but those who don’t care about life in this world will keep it safe, and they will live through the age.
26 ‘If anyone wants to serve me, let him follow me, so that wherever I am, my servant will be also… for the Father will honor all who wish to serve me.
27 ‘Now I am deeply disturbed, so what should I say… Father, save me from this hour? Why, this is why I came to this hour! 28 Father; Glorify Your Name!’
Then a voice came out of the sky, saying, ‘I glorified it and I will glorify it again!’
29 Well, [many in] the crowd who were standing there heard [the sound] and said it was thunder; but others said, ‘A messenger [from God] spoke to him!’
30 Then Jesus said: ‘This voice didn’t happen for me, but for you; 31 for now this world will be judged; now the ruler of this world will be thrown out; 32 and if I’m hung high off the ground, I will draw all men toward me.’ 33 (He was really saying this to show what type of death he was about to die.)

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>You were all buried with him when [you were] baptized, and you were all raised together by faith in what God (who raised him from the dead) has done in you. For, that’s when you died to your errors and to the uncircumcised state of your flesh, and when you became alive with him. Then he kindly forgave all your errors and wiped away the handwritten Law that held us down and oppressed us… he lifted it out of the way and nailed it on the pole! Then he stripped away the governments and powers, and openly displayed that this is how he conquered them.
Again, Jesus death is the subject described as what caused power to change hands. His death seems to be the starting point of where whatever governments and powers that had dominion over this world were conquered and stripped of whatever authority they had.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>Then another sign appeared in the sky. {Look!} There was a huge fire-red dragon with seven heads and ten horns. On its heads there were seven royal turbans, and it was dragging a third of the stars of heaven with its tail. Then it threw them down to the earth!
This dragon was standing in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so when she did give birth, he could eat it! Then she gave birth to a son… a male, who is going to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod. And her child was snatched away to God and to His throne. Then the woman escaped into the desert to a place that God had prepared for her, where she would be fed for a thousand, two hundred and sixty days. Next, war broke out in heaven. Michael and his messengers went to war with the dragon, and the dragon and his messengers fought back; but he lost and could no longer stay in heaven. So, the huge dragon was thrown out. He is the first snake (the one who is called the Slanderer and Opposer) who is misleading the whole habitation [of man]. He was thrown down to the earth along with his messengers.
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say, ‘This is the moment when the salvation, the power, the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Anointed One begins. Because, he who has been accusing our brothers has been thrown down… the one who has been complaining about them day and night before our God! They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb, by the things they said while they were testifying, and because they didn’t value their lives even in the face of death! This is why the heavens and those who live there should be joyful! But woe to the earth and to the sea, because the Slanderer has come down to you in a rage, knowing that he has little time.’
