What Is Marriage?

As many as it takes to learn how to have a relationship, then I'm read for that one girl who'd stay with me forever.
I have been married 4 times and in each case I married for life unto death. the first three, all before my salvation, were not as committed and tossed me into file thirteen. But I am not ad at them because I have had the nightmares, left over from my first tour in Vietnam making a Good Night's Sleep uncertain, making me difficult to be married to. Divorce and desperation are not always in you control. My wife of now agrees with me, I am not her first nor second, but we made a pact, divorce by .38 caliber only and we both have our own.

She wasn't so dumb to let you catch her.
Apparently, she made the right choice!
You must have been running pretty fast yourself....
I was solidly convinced that I needed to be celibate. If you've been married three times and left three times, you must not be very good at this marriage thing, that was my opinion... then.

hello jasonc, dirtfarmer here

There are many things that believers do that is not God's will.

1 Corinthians 7:15 states: " But if the unbelieving departs, let him go. A brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases; but God hath called us to peace."

This is not saying that a believer is to do anything to get the unbeliever to leave, but that if they, through no reason but their own, they decide to leave, then let the go.

If I understand marriage, vows are between the 2 parties, not between a man or a woman and God. God is a witness but not part of the giving and receiving of vows.
I disagree, my wife and I both love the LORD more than we love each other and without that commitment to obey our God, it is tough to, sometimes, and when you must, to stand without the mate. Both making that pledge to God always draws the two closer together.
