I put this thread in general talk because it can bring up a lot of different things. We know that Jerusalem which is in Israel is important to the Jews because they believe it is their holy land where king David built the temple. The Muslims believe it is belongs to them because it is the place they believe Mohammed was transported into heaven. It is important to Christians because it is where Jesus died, rose, and ascended into heaven. I also believe it is of importance to Christians because God said those who bless Israel shall be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed. Look at how the United States is one of the nations closest ally and protector how blessed it is.
We know that the Muslims and Jews are constantly fighting for Israel and one day a final battle will take place where Jesus will be victorious over all nations and will reign for 1,000 years on his throne in Jerusalem. Is the United States the nation that will provide homage to the Lord when he returns to Mount Zion like it says in Isaiah 18?
