Religion sees people as the enemy. Relationship says Jesus sees sin as the enemy.

Religion says believing grace is dangerous. Relationship says, Grace is the cure for overcoming sin.

Religion grades righteousness on a curve. Relationship says Jesus grades righteousness on a cross.

Religion makes God the boss and you the employee. Relationship says Jesus makes God your father and you his son.

Latin root word for religion is bondage, which is different then that of Gods pure religion of James 1:27, but that of following tradition and the doctrine of a mans church, not Gods true church. Religion tells you what you can and cannot do and becomes socially acceptable by mans interpretations, traditions and doctrines. Religion is what nailed Christ to the cross because this Bible is not socially acceptable to society, if it were then Christ would have died in vain. God is not about mans religion, nor does he recognize religion. God is about a personal relationship with you and His son Jesus Christ.

All of these contrasts make me uncomfortable, since the word "religion" brings up the question, "Which religion are you talking about, and what is your definition of 'religion'?"

Also, the word "relationship" is vague because it might mean a human relationship between people. And Adam and Eve's religion/relationship the one before or after their fall into sin?
