What is the Unforgivable Sin?

Here is a logic test for you.

If John says there is one sin unto death.

1 John 16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. (KJV)

And all matter of sins are forgiven except the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost (Spirit) shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world (age), neither in the world (age) to come. (KJV)

And taking the Mark of the Beast is an unforgivable sin.

Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. (KJV)

Then it is only logical to assume that the one unforgivable sin is taking the mark, and that is the final "Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit".

Otherwise there would be more than one Unforgivable Sin.

First off, a sin unto death has nothing to do with the unforgivable sin.

Secondly, a sin unto death can be any number of sins that one continues to commit, making it an unrepented sin.

Thirdly, a sin unto death has as much to do with the culture and laws in and of the first century as it does with actions taken by God against the sinner and the unrepented sin(s). In either case, some sort of judgment is brought upon the believer which leads to their death. In the case of judgment by God, it doesn't mean that judgment of death leads to any eternal condemnation. It simply means God, by an act of compassion and mercy, finds it fit to end the life of the one sinning.

Some commentaries that I find explaining this are:

http://www.gotquestions.org/sin-unto-death.html
http://www.realtime.net/~wdoud/topics/sindeath.html
http://www.studylight.org/com/acc/view. ... hapter=005 (scroll down to v. 16)

Lastly, this has nothing to do with taking the "mark" so I feel this is not a topic fit for the End Times forum. There has been a good discussion going on in the Apologetics forum on the unforgivable sin.

In Rev 13:16, it says "all" will receive the mark, not just some. That tells us one of two things, either believers are not around to take the mark (already raptured, killed or will be soon killed) or are already sealed by God's mark, making them exempt
