Just curious if anybody knows considering that I have some right now.

In the case of mosquitos, they inject an anti coagulant under your skin to make it easier for the mosquito to drink your blood. The anti coagulant irritates the tissues, making it itch.

Okay, then so what's inside anti itch cream that makes it go away.

Cortisone-10 is an anti-itch cream. The active ingredient it hydrocortisone, which blocks the enzymes and mediators in the skin that caused the irritation thereby giving itch relief. See here.

Benedryl spray can be useful, as it's only an antihistamine. It blocks histamine, preventing it from stimulating eosinophils, which cause inflammation reactions. Works faster than cortisone creams, too.
