Hi to all . Some believe that Paul preached what Jesus and the 12 apostles preached , and there is only one gospel in the Bible .

1) In Gal 1:23 we have the following , But they had heard only , that he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed .

2) This WAS in time PAST , that he persecuted THEM and these were NOT Christians .

3) So then this faith , was not the Gospel of the Grace of God or Eph 2:8 .

4) Then Gal 2:18 Paul says this , For if I build again the things which I DESTROYED , I make myself a TRANSGRESSOR .

5) These 2 verse convince me that Paul could not preach what the 12 preached , and is my very short list of WHY .

1)Not following...Gal.1:22 says that Paul was not known by face unto the chrches of Judaea which were in Christ. This is b/c his ministry was from God, not from other apostles (Gal.1:11-12, 15-24).

2)In times past, Paul persecuted the saints (Acts 9; Gal.1:13-14). They were Christians

3)This faith was the gospel of grace. What other kind of faith is referred to in Scripture? Gal.1:23 says Paul now preaches the same gospel that he once persecuted others for having and preaching. He was trying to destroy the spread of the gospel of grace in times past.

4)Gal.2:18...Paul had just torn Peter and Barnabus a new one for hupocrisy and false doctrine, since they were trying to have the Mosaic law and grace (Gal.2:11-14).The whole theme of Galatians was to correct the fickle Galatians from further backsliding and following legalizing, Judaizing teachers from Judea; and to set them straight regarding the relation of Christians of the new covenant w/ the Jews of the old covenant. Paul had repeatedly asserted and proved that the Mosaic Law had been abolished by the death of Christ (2 Cor.3:6-15; Eph.2:14-15; Col.2:14-17; Heb.7:11-10:18). Gal.2:18 says that all who go back to the Law of Moses by building up again those things destroyed, then you become a transgressor, undoing justification by faith in Christ. Yes, Christians can fall from grace and be removed from Christ (Gal.1:6-8; 2:21; 3:1-5; 4:8-11, 19; 5:4, 19-21; 6:1-8). This justification Paul taught was the same. He taught this in Gal.2:15-3:29. He is teaching that justification is of faith and not from works from the Mosaic Law.

5) So it is my belief that Paul taught the same gospel as Christ and the apostles.

Like Xtruth, I am having trouble understanding your argument.

I believe that what Paul wrote is entirely coherent with what Jesus taught. I take it that you do not believe. Can you please provide a clear description of what you believe?

Hi xtruth ,

1) Can we say that in Acts 7:58-60 , that Stephen was preaching the grace of God to those Jews . Acts 7:1-60 says different .

2) Can anyone show a verse that Jesus or the 12 preached Eph 2:8 , or Rom 10:9 , ANYWHERE in the gospels or in the book of Acts ?

3) What where the Jews looking for , Acts 1:6 ? It was the Millennium Kingdom .
