Well I have already asked. But anyway, what qualification are you seeking?
Just kidding! mutzrein, I can't even begin to explain the past year in a spiritual sense. . I don't feel in the mood to do it justice right now. But I will say that in spite of the intensified warfare coupled with my flesh, amazingly I do still have a relationship with my heavenly Father.
LOL. Yes immediate disqualification for me would be the result if education in that realm were required.
And even if I was (qualified) all of us are subject to the flesh - so there is NOTHING that any of us can boast of.
You know I believe that God has seen fit to make us as we are. Although born of His spirit, we remain subject to the flesh which is the constant reminder of how much we rely on His grace and mercy day by day. I don't believe any of us can make any claim of reaching righteousness before God that the flesh has no effect on us.
And I like this parable in Luke.
To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other menâ€â€robbers, evildoers, adulterersâ€â€or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
