What's Wrong With The Church?

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the church.
We are human, we make mistakes.
But some people think it is necessary to point out things that are wrong with church organizations, point out bad pastors, bad people, churches not growing, maybe we should be where the church "is" growing.
Well, I see that we are the church, and if we love Jesus, then what's wrong with that?
He put us here, not in China or Africa.
What are we doing about it?
Complaining from our easy chair?

Does anyone know what's not wrong with the church?
How about sharing that.

I am sure there is a nice little Church somewhere out there. The ones I have been to are worldly.I don't do worldly when I am a child of God thankyouverymuch.

Do you have any Christian friends that you can get together with and pray and worship and study God's Word?
That's church.
If not, then we can all pray that you get some.
God will bless you with such prayers.

Absolutely! In a heartbeat if necessary.

don't bring that common and great idea of living the word out, it might force men to examine their hearts. satan wont like that.
Yeah, as long as we can categorize and compartmentalize it... maybe we can get by without having to actually LIVE it.

Just keep it inside a church building. It's more easily handled like that.

There were many bad teachings in Bible times.
Paul had a terrible time trying to straighten out churches.
But he spent more time trying to build up churches than tear them down.

When I was a new Christian, I was going to 4-5 churches at a time, trying to learn from everyone.
God pointed out to me what was wrong and I avoided those churches.
But I never gave up.
Every church I've ever been in for almost 30 years has had problems.
But I keep growing, keep having fellowship, reached a point to teach others.
Was able to serve others, thus serving God.
I still go to church up to 5 times a week if my health and my wife's health permits.
But to say that none of them are any good and stay away.
God's kingdom will never grow that way.

God never meant for us to stand alone.
Hebrews 10:25; NIV
famous verse, "do not forsake the assembly" is a message for us to be together, to build each other up in our faith and share in giving the Gospel and serving others.

So, for the people who know nothing and want to learn(like me), if it was hard for even one of the most famous Apostles and as you say, going from what you say as i dont know scripture very well, there were many bad teachings in bible times?.

So, did not Paul say anything about False teachings?, False prophets?. Test the spirits?. And who wrote there are already many AC in the world now?(2000 years ago). Im not saying it was Paul who said that, but i remember reading that in the scripture, correct me if im wrong i think it was him.

I just think its being weary. Im just being weary for myself, even im a failure. Im nothing and say dumb things and fail all the time, but i have to be weary. If im to trust the word of the Lord i have to be weary.
The first thing for us to keep in mind is many of the hassles Paul (or any Apostle) faced was the fact that he had responsibility for beginning and structuring a number of churches. We don't. We are basically told to simply keep ourselves straight, for the most part.

And, as a point of information, no Apostle ever mentioned "THE" Antichrist. What was referred to as "antichrist", (or "opposed to believing in a Christ") was a particular mindset and teaching.... mainly Gnosticism. We are on a wild goose chase, waiting for, and trying to search out some individual that is supposed to rise and rule the world for satan.

Yep. They say that if you let a hypocrite stand between you and Christ... then the hypocrite is actually closer to Him than you are.

1 John 2:18

I guess its not a single person. Good luck to all who are waiting for a single evil individual to rule the world for satan.
Yep. And, not even just individual people, but numerous people living under a particular belief system that denies Christ for who He truly is.

Praise God that you have someone to pray with.

I have someone God is always with me.What would happen if I was a loner and did not have any contact with anyone in the outside world and was a devout believer.Would that make me less of a Christian if I did not have someone on this earth to pray with?I think you have to think outside the box.

yes, it is hard and deceptive today, much more so than for Paul - not like he had an easy road, nor the other disciples, but it is getting worse every day.
keep asking questions, keep seeking only for Truth as Yhwh is pleased to reveal Truth and teach everyone(few as they are) who seeks HIM the Truth about all things (yes, little by little about everything, all at once sometimes about some things)....
Yhwh gives peace, joy and righteousness in Christ Jesus, and eternal life to boot! (to a few , not to too many).
but still to everyone who truly seeks Him, He Himself promises they will find Him. so trust Him and keep seeking Him - He will get you through all the hard as well as all the good and bad times (troubles are multiplying daily; try to find in Hosea where it says something like traps are laid every day for Yhwh's man, even "IN the House of Yhwh".... (i.e. no place is 'safe', no one can be trusted, except Yhwh in Yeshua - Yhwh Willing).

You have the word of God (bible), of that which bible? (King James Version). Why the KJV? Because of the holy spirit. Therefore it is perfect. You have the holy spirit, it is perfect. Our flesh is not perfect. It is corruptible seed. The spirit is of incorruptible seed. As a flesh and blood human being it is impossible to be perfect. But the holy spirit is perfection. So the closer one gets to the spirit, the more perfect they are. I did not say perfect, but more perfect. 1 peter 1:23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."

Brick and mortar church brings tradition. Traditions are made by man. Man is flesh and imperfect. We have no way of looking at someone and knowing for sure they are born again and the spirit of Christ dwells in them. Without seeing the fruits of the spirit manifest in their works. Therefore some traditions might have been more of the flesh balance than the spirit. The true church is the body of christ, the bride of christ. Anyone that is in christ is a member of that body. Doesn't matter where they are. A building, a forum, a camp ground.

Winning souls for Jesus, thats what we should be worrying about. Not about how aesthetically pleasing a brick and mortar church is.

Hi, nice thread, mostly.
You need to start your own thread on King James Bible.
You will get a lot of responses.
I for one would like to know why it is perfect but this thread is not the place for it.
