well ill start with the nasa report, made 2006, three christian gentlemen came across it when they researched, the 2012 prophecies.
they uncovered alot of intresting things, probaly can be found on you tube, if i remember the name of the project , ill post it.

The weather outside is beautiful and, according to predictions, will likely stay beautiful for a good week or so. But some scientists and weather experts are predicting a coming California Superstorm of Biblical proportions.
The Superstorm is believed to occur once every 100 to 200 years, leaving California only 50 years until the 200-year mark. Called the "ARkStorm," the storm could produce up to 10 feet of rain creating massive flooding, landslides, communication disruption and more than $300 billion in damage according to the United States Geological Survey. After two years of research, the study was released at the "ARkStorm Summit" in Sacramento last week.

Leslie Gordon, USGS spokeswoman, said more than 100 experts from areas related to weather, economy, social sciences and more gathered to study the full implications of such a storm. The purpose of the study, she said, is so that people will make preparations in case the storm hits. The summit was attended by emergency response agencies like FEMA, CAL EMA, county planners and other agencies.

"This kind of storm has happened in the past although they are rare," she said. "We're not expecting this every winter, but we want people to be prepared if it does happen."

The last time a similar storm hit the state was in December 1861 and January 1862 when about 300 miles of the Central Valley received more than a month of rain. The flooding was so bad that then governor-elect Leland Stanford had to take a rowboat

so if the grid is going to affected that long,how will those that live in the snow laden states gonna eat?

think about, solar flares and sun spots are from Healthy sun, when they rapidly increase and get to large the sun dies, and so will all life on the earth.

that isnt what the lord promises in genesis.

nor is in the bible at all. the earth remians and the lord will be the light.

now then. we recently had the worst solar flare a couple years ago and blah blah no power grid lost or major grid shutown.

Sorry, Johnny, but it simply isn't so.

"Some guy" is not good enough - the internet is FULL of silly stuff and anyone can post anything on YouTube.

There is NOTHING to worry about concerning solar flares, solar storms or sunspots. Sure, flares often tickle the grid, sometimes you can even notice the effect (if you are reading the sites and keeping up with things) but those who monitor and control the grid have a network wherein they keep up with what's going on with the sun! This is news to you, but not to the people who operate the Grid!

so would a gaurdsman know covert/secret operations, ? likewise some one who changes a lght bulb.

the ruling elite, boast they always survive, because they are prepared for anything, you should look at some of the under ground bases,
most are 2500 feet under ground, solar radiation can penetrate 1000 feet into the earth,

i often wonder why there is so little actvity in the church, around being prepared, if the church says it believes the scriptures, because playing church and just doing the same old thing over and over and over and over and over again, isnt going to cut the mustard.

It all depends on what your are surviving. I believe a lot of things can happen that are not biblical-end-times disasters. I have read alot of those types of magazines in the past simply because I enjoy the outdoors, hunting and fishing. I wanted information on what to do if I got lost in the woods. I believe that true end times type stuff can only be prepared for by being the best Christian that you can. How do you prepare for an asteroid hitting the earth? Other things can be prepared for. After all you do have a spare tire don't you? There is nothing wrong with having extra firewood, a generator, or bottled water around. My wife had to have an all electric house. When the power is out, we use the fireplace to cook with. Her family immirgrated from China. Her grandmother will be 104 years old this Feb. She lived through the depression and refuses to throw anything away that might be useful if it happens again! As for the weather, they can't ever get it right, and some simple precautions help with things like the flu. But anything you find on the internet should always be triple checked for truthfulness.

I have quite enough to deal with in the U.S. in 2011 without worrying about the "Sky Falling".

I remember in the '70s where some enterprising "Christians" were selling "Revelation Food".

You could get a 3-1/2 year, or a 7-year supply of dehydrated rations (depending on your eschatalogical interpretation or the "end times"). Naturally they recommended the 7-years supply (In case you were wrong).

But what WASN'T supplied with the package, was the shotgun to kill your starving Christian neighbor when he came to you for food.
