WHEN OUR LOVED ONES PASS AWAY THEY DO NOT BECOME OUR GUARDIAN ANGELS

Some people mistakenly believe that their deceased loved ones become their guardian angels, but this simply is not the truth as Angels are of a different class of beings than humans dead or alive. God created Angels but He breathed His life into us.

my older sister died 7 years ago and we in the family still keeps her memories alive but i never ever believe her become my guardian angel, so i agree...

um, out of curiosity, who believes that? I've never met anyone with that opinion, either in real life or online.

i know quite a few people that think that.

if you read Heaven is for real by todd burpo when his son went to heaven he said that everyone had wings.

I've personally never heard it said that they are loved ones who have passed, but there is absolutely no scriptural support for guardian angels anyway. I would challenge anyone to demonstrate otherwise. I believe it is purely tradition that supports this doctrine.

I think much of the hype from this comes both from people who genuinely see Gods hand in their life, but rather than attribute it to the Father,of course something else gains the credit.

For some its hard to deal with the loss of a loved one,and that at times we want to hold on to that person so much that we credit them for daily interventions, and claim that dear old grandma is still watching over them. While anyone could relate to that to a degree, realistically I dont think thats the case either.

In other occurrences people have been rescued from harm by what they think may genuinely be angelic intervention, and some even claim to remember seeing the form of a departed family member as the being that saved them.Im at a genuine loss for what to say there..Ive seen some strange things and as such have difficulty questioning someone who (given I trust their honesty)claims to have honestly seen such.At that point its anyones guess,I suppose.Perhaps it was an angel who took the form of something familiar to quell that natural fear of the unknown. :dunno:dunno

I believe that angels do still intervene occasionally, but behind that is the fact that they would have to be operating under the authority of God rather than acting as spiritual vigilantes. Therefore, instead of acting as if Aunt Sally is hanging around waiting for a Superman opportunity I think I would offer any applicable thanks to The Man Himself.
