when we talk about evil

Evil is that which stands against the goodness of God as evil is the hostile enemy set out to destroy those who are God's own. Evil will have its ending in the lake of fire when Christ returns on the last day.

As God is the source of all that is good and the measure by which goodness is judged, it is as 'for his glory' has said, evil is that which is against God.
It has nothing to do with beards or mental states.
