miamited,
I'm convinved the question isn't, "When are the end times?"
I believe what we should be asking is, "How are the end times?"
Look at the descriptions and we can see throughout history, nothing has really changed.
as ye see the day approaching. Heb.10:25
I haven't missed it, because I was part of it, to one degree or another.Well, I'm not sure how you see that 'nothing has really changed', but I see a lot of change.
Morally, especially here in the U.S. We've become angrier, meaner, less charitable, as people. Looking over the 330 million of us, there are greater issues with sexual identity and relationships that were pretty much kept under wraps in past days. That's been a big change. I'm sorry that you missed it all. It was pretty raucous.
200 years ago they screamed so loud it started a war. There have always been wars and they all without exception begin because somebody is mistreating "us" (me) in someway,We are a much more entitled thinking group today than I believe we were 200 years ago.
Everyone is screaming that their 'rights' are constantly being violated.
Although there is advancement in inventions, mankind is no smarter than when God first created him,Certainly, technological advances and scientific and medical advances have jumped exponentially.
Daniel may be referring to technology, but it's also true that people can have knowledge of God from scripture, but never use that knowledge.Daniel tells us that in the end times knowledge will increase. Not wisdom...knowledge.
God bless you also. God flooded this earth once because only evil imaginations were left. Nothing has changed in that way. We're still going to war against that.So I see quite a lot of change. Just read through the list of sinful gains that Paul writes to the Romans in chapter 1 and I think that for each one of them, one could easily say that all of those sins and their practices and the approval thereof, are quickly coming to the fore.
God bless
Ted
Although there is advancement in inventions, mankind is no smarter than when God first created him,
I was referring to mankinds inherent knowledge, his ability to think, speak, act, etc. That has never changed.Hi journeyman
I'm thinking there would be a massive difference in knowledge (the knowing about a subject) between today's man, and say someone in the 5th century. And don't even consider going back as far as Abraham.
I'm not sure you appreciate that knowledge has nothing to do with how smart a person is. You can be the smartest person in the world and win chess championships up the ying yang, but you likely couldn't even hold a trowel and put on a scratch coat for laying brick and masonry block. You see, knowledge is the knowing about particular things or subjects or trades, if you will. All of those people are likely reasonably smart people, but they each possess different knowledge.
I believe it was translated correctly: knowledge will increase. Just consider, that today, with the internet and youtube, a person can just about gain the knowledge to build a skyscraper that's never bought a load of concrete. (a bit of hyperbole, of course) But God's word is always true and we are moving into the end of the last days. There are still a few prophetic signs that I haven't seen yet, which would announce them being right at the door, but I'm confident that they are within the next 100-200 years. And they could be within the next 20. It depends on how fast God desires to move to the day that He's going to send His Son back to gather us.
God bless,
Ted
God said He would pour out His Spirit in the last days. When did the “end times” or “last days” begin?
Thanks
When I first became a Christian, I was praying in a group, and tongues of fire touched all of us. No one had mentioned it before or during the prayer. It was by far the strangest thing that happened to me.God said He would pour out His Spirit in the last days.
Pentecost is shown as a fulfillment of that prophecy as noted in Acts 2.
In regard to signs given of the Lords coming again I would state Rev 11 is a sign that can't be mistaken. The beast that overpowers and kills God's two witnesses has been given a reign of 42 months. The bowl judgments are the judgments that plunge the beast's kingdom into darkness.
The Lord comes. Rev 16:15
Interesting. I was just sitting in front of a heater drying my hair (while reading I Corinthians 12 ) (I think). I had a paternal Grandmother try and start a conversation but my dad stopped the conversation with:When I first became a Christian, I was praying in a group, and tongues of fire touched all of us. No one had mentioned it before or during the prayer. It was by far the strangest thing that happened to me.
YesThe last days started in gospel times. John said
1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1260 days prior to the Yom Kippur in 2030 or 2031, go figure. Don't look at the Jewish calendar, it's at least 200 years off. When did the “end times” or “last days” begin?
Thanks
There is no Jewish calendar1260 days prior to the Yom Kippur in 2030 or 2031, go figure. Don't look at the Jewish calendar, it's at least 200 years off.
I thought Pentecost was a bunch of Jews. There is no Jewish calendar
No israel
Pentecost began the last days
