where do i start

ok i guess ill post some of my understandings of scripture

all of us deserve hell

but God was so merciful he sent Jesus to pay a price so high
it can cover any sin ever made by all men and women

when we have faith in him
its not dead faith

God sends a call to all and reveals to us that Jesus is the way
and those who accept this are given a new heart
after this
the things we once took pleasure in
now hurt us to do
and we feel conviction to turn from them

if we grow in the word and continue to follow Jesus and seek Gods will for us
this is practicing righteousness

we start to turn from sin

like swearing
vengence
masterbation
fornication
false idols (sports,games, movies)

and it becomes not a burden
but a joy when we overcome sin through christ who strengthens us

i believe it is possible to walk holy as Job did

but this isnt what earns salvation
it shows our fruit

i think God preserved his Word
and the bible is meant to be taken literally

(unless its obvious hyperbole)

i was such an awful sinner i dont know if i am ready to give a full testimony as of now

i only accepted Jesus as my savior less than 4 years ago

and only had a burning passion to study the Word as of maybe 2 years ago

to avoid my first post being too long winded

ill stop here im sorry for poor grammer
im on a phone and have rhino like skin on my fingers from workin with metal

thoughts?
opinions?
scripture to show me i need correction?

thanks for taking the time
i have high hopes for fellowship
i only study the Word i dont go to church

.
Welcome Brother Rehab to this Christian fellowship in Jesus' name. That not only is great introduction, but a wonderful testimony. Thanks, and now in my opinion continue to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (2 Pet 3:18).

Blessings in Christ Jesus. :wave2

thanks man :)
i appreciate that

Yeah, welcome Brother. Sounds like you have a real good handle on it. We're all at different places in our walk with Jesus, and all struggle. That's what makes fellowship good! :yes
Praise the Lord! :woot2

i still feel like a babe in spirit to be honest

God has shown so much to me in just a couple years

its a lot like the world i lived in was an illusion or a dream

and like an alarm clock God woke me up even though i was comfortable in my sleep

at first i was tryin to hit snooze

then stumbling around with clouded vision knowing i have stuff to do trying to rush to get ready

now im awake... but still need a coffee (his Word) to get me through the morning (life)

haha
sorry if that was a bad analogy
i can do better

I can identify with comparing the need for coffee (or even oxygen) with the need for His Word, Rehab! I need our Lord to get through each and every day.

Welcome to CFnet :wave2

i dont really even drink coffee
but i felt it matched the waking up from a dream deal well

Hey, Lil Buddy,

It looks like we are going to have some good conversations over here, too.

thanks man

I like to use the analogy I feel like Abraham (because I do!) Go over here...not why not how, nothing. Just go. So I did. Not only that but I have a thorn in the flesh too. He did that to me so I have to depend on Him, no other way. God's full of surprises. He's answered prayers for me, but not how I thought He would!. That taught me not to tell Him how I want prayers answered. Just ask and that's it. The more I learn the less I know, lol...

hi. Welcome to CFnet. I hope you enjoy your time here and I pray that The Lord will use this place (and the people here) to deepen your relationship with Him.

Hi Rehab,

Great introduction.
Great testimony.

You'll find very nice persons here who like to share the word of God.
And when we don't agree on something, we still love and respect each other.

I believe you'll like it here.
Welcome!
See you around...

P.S. You may not think so, but you sound like a very mature Christian!!

You must think something nice about yourself right? What good will it do to turn against yourself. Already I see great potential in you, but it doesn't matter if I said that a million times.

You have to see that in yourself.

I think he does, WarZero...
