I found this to be true, too. Labels aren't cast in stone...well, they can be, but....oh, you know what I mean.Speaking about the one i know best AofG
that organization is messed up big time... yet the little AofG church around the corner may be fine...
I liken the church to how Israel was divided up into tribes, which we know to have been the will of God.I am not against denominations .. I think they serve a purpose... they often match up to our personalities..
some more structured then others..
The fact there are differences in the 4 Gospels does not make any one of them invalid.
And he's not talking?imho it seems the final judge or court of appeal must have to be God and via flesh and blood - twinc
Hi Gary,That's what I don't understand. People treat the truth as if it's unattainable or because there's no perfect church, there's no perfect Christians.
The church isn't perfect, but they go anyway. That just blows me away. People putting their Spiritual well being in the hands of someone who could very well be in error. They acknowledge this and do it anyway.
I don't get it.

...or...because there's no perfect church, there's no perfect truth.People treat the truth as if it's unattainable or because there's no perfect church, there's no perfect Christians.
.
If we completely avoid where the church is, we are lacking the fellowship and the gathering of the Saints.
But that is the church, where 2 or 3 are gathered.I disagree.
Matthew 18
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Ahhhhhhhh better be careful for numbers only mean you runneth thy keyboard a lot but doeth not show thy words are pureth and right..... Brother you made this way to easy....Did you really thnk no one would jump on this...
Blessings Brother just haven some funneth......
But that is the church, where 2 or 3 are gathered.
Like threads totally stay directly on topicBut that's not what's being discussed here. The OP is referring to established Christian denominations. Two or three people sitting in a coffee shop or someone's living room doesn't fall into that category.
.
But that is the church, where 2 or 3 are gathered.
What if that 2nd person disagrees with your end time view, does that make it any less of church?
I disagree.
Matthew 18
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

it seems He is but it seems not many want to listen to Him but prefer the doctrines of human demons and devils imho - twincAnd he's not talking?
Another way to express my point would be to say the church is a city on a hill, regardless of denominational preference, even non denominations are denominations.you and Gary are a bit strange here. Jesus is speaking about agreeing on something to change a circumstance.
Paul said when you Gather together for "Church" if any have a tongue, prophecy, doctrine, whatever let it be done decent and in order. We gather together to be edified and learn. A whole different operation.
It's very difficult to be a city when you're solo.
would you like to check it out and give it a try - for two shall we say one Catholic and one any other Protestant for three or more how about Catholic/Anglican/Methodist/Baptist etc - twinc
We're not asked to be cities. We're asked to be a beacon of light in this world of darkness. A beacon of Light doesn't require many voices.

Will one be partakers of the Church of Babylon?
The mother of Harlots and abominations.

Come out of her, My people.
