I found some Bible verses relating to who Palestine (Canaan) belongs to:

In this verse God is speaking to Abraham:

And I will give to you, and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. Gen 17:8 RSV

In this verse, God is speaking of Abraham’s illigitimate son, Ishmael:

As for Ish'mael, I have heard you; behold, I will bless him and make him fruitful and multiply him exceedingly; he shall be the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation. Gen 17:20 RSV

Here are the boundaries of Canaan:

And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon, in the direction of Gerar, as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomor'rah, Admah, and Zeboi'im, as far as Lasha. Gen 10:19 RSV

It sounds to me like all of Palestine belongs to the Jews.

I think the first reference to Canaan is in the account of Noah. He is one of the sons of Noah's sons, if I am right. But there is no clear indication of the tribe itself. Bottomline, we should never look at Bible as a history book! So we cannot explain every historical aspect with Bible

Just like you said, it gives lot of history but not everything. That is the reason I am saying, we should not look at it like history book. The reason Bible has to give account of all those is to show how God chooses a nation to accomplish the purpose of redemption. Same goes with Ishmael. Why Isaac and not Ishmael? That is why we should look at. Not trying to see just the history

we should never look at Bible as a history book

I beg to differ' the Bible gives history and science' it does not explain everything but a lot of things it does. Now the Muslims came from Ishmael' so it is not hard to figure out.
