Yeah. This actually prompted my starting the thread. One might still ask: HOW!God is the creator of all things!
Yeah. This actually prompted my starting the thread. One might still ask: HOW!
That's an aggressive statement. Would you mind expounding on your meaning there?
Yeah. Thanks a lot. :nodhey classik, this is my illustration of who god is, forgive me if i confuse you. god is spirit, the spirit of god is holy, that's why the holy spirit is from god and of god. when god draws you to salvation, he sends his spirit as a helper and comforter. now picture a house with windows, the house is god's house, what dwells inside god's house, his spirit that is holy, his spirit illuminates everything in the house and the windows light up with god's holiness. now picture jesus walking out of the house. who do you see? god of flesh! when you stare at a picture of jesus, you're starring at god. he manifested himself into flesh so he could teach us the word and die for our sins and sufffer because he loves us that much. read up on the scriptures of his resurrection and have faith. the house i'm referring too is the kingdom of god in heaven, jesus walking out of his kingdom is himself god/spirit manifesting himself into god/flesh thus being born into mary's womb. in the gospel of john film, do you remember what jesus said to the woman at the well?
Then wouldn't it be more accurate to say "I" wouldn't be much? The way it is written it seems to imply the opposite. :shocked!
Can you describe HIM...just in few words???
I have written that same statement several times over the years, it was even in my signature on a Christian guitar forum at one time. You are the only one to ever misunderstand it...
Brilliant post iLOVE. I have saved it so that I can quote it elsewhere. Thanks.Sometimes do you ever wonder why God called you to do something for Him? There are many reasons why God shouldn't have called you, or me, or anyone else for that matter, but God doesn't wait until we are perfect to call us. Think of all those God used. You're in good company if you think you aren't ready for God to use.
But God doesn't hire and fire like most bosses because He's more like our Dad than a boss. He doesn't look at financial gain or loss. He's not prejudiced or partial, nor sassy and brassy, nor deaf to our cry. He's not blind to our faults. His gifts to us are free. We could do wonderful things for others and still not be wonderful ourselves. Satan says, "You're not worthy!" Jesus says, "So what? I AM." Satan looks back and sees our mistakes. God looks back and sees the Cross.

I have struggled with this question for a long time now. In fact, I can't find a suitable definition for GOD. There isn't!!! The entire bible is GOD. Is that enough? The universe isn't enough to describe HIM. I can only say HE's GOD: GOD IS GOD.
