Who is Jesus Christ to you and what roll does He play in our world and in heaven?

(Post deleted, Obadiah)

From our statement of faith: "We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah, born of a virgin, totally without sin, God in human flesh, the One Who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven, where He now intercedes for us who believe in Him."

Terms of Service section 2.1: This is a Christian site, therefore, any attempt to put down Christianity (or declare that it is false) and the basic tenets of our Faith will be considered a hostile act. Please read: Statement of Faith

This is a Christian site and this is a forum to discuss Christian theology. Statements claiming Jesus was not the Son of God, such as stating He was actually the Roman Emperor Titus Flavius or any other historical human being will not be allowed.

Carry on.

Jesus doesn't play a role.

He is the express image of God, and lived and died and was resurrected in body as written in scripture, to save us from the nightmares of the world, of sin, or ourselves.

Most people on earth never benefit eternally , because they continually reject Jesus' Lordship and refuse to place their trust in Him.

Even in the end times, as Jesus' return is expressly imminent, the whole of men everywhere becomes blatantly worse in sin instead of turning to God for help.

So, when they (finally) see Jesus, they see Him as Judge instead of Savior. That's the last time they ever see Him.

The remnant who are faithful, they know Him experientially (in life and truth) as Savior, and Rejoice abiding with Him forever.

Jesus doesn't play a roll, but is that roll that we live by His righteousness as we abstain from earthly things and set our sights on heavenly things in order to make it through this world while we are here. Jesus is our redeemer Savior who paid a price He did not owe in order to set us free from sin as He was made the final sacrifice for sin. Jesus is our mediator before the Father who stands against the accusations made by Satan who is the accuser of the brethren. Jesus is the very Spirit of God that tells us it doesn't matter who you are or what you have done I still love you and have made a way for you to reconcile yourself back to the Father. If we seek Him, we will find Him.

Jesus is the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, God incarnate. He is our advocate before the Father (1 John 2:1).

1 John 2
Amplified Bible (AMP)

2 My little children, I write you these things so that you may not violate God’s law
and sin. But if anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (One Who will intercede for us) with the Father—[it is] Jesus Christ [the all] righteous [upright, just, Who conforms to the Father’s will in every purpose, thought, and action].

2 And He [[a]that same Jesus Himself] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
3 And this is how we may discern [[b]daily, by experience] that we are coming to know Him [to perceive, recognize, understand, and become better acquainted with Him]: if we keep (bear in mind, observe, practice) His teachings (precepts, commandments).

4 Whoever says, I know Him [I perceive, recognize, understand, and am acquainted with Him] but fails to keep and obey His commandments (teachings) is a liar, and the Truth [[c]of the Gospel] is not in him.
5 But he who keeps (treasures) His Word [who bears in mind His precepts, who observes His message in its entirety], truly in him has the love of and for God been perfected (completed, reached maturity). By this we may perceive (know, recognize, and be sure) that we are in Him:
6 Whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself.
