Zionist are also of the synagogue of Satan and a major player in making a way for the son of perdition.
To make the peace plan between Israel and the Arab countries a reality the Zionists must also agree with this peace treaty. Only when the Zionists are willing to surrender then the son of perdition can preside over a new neutral administration with its power seat on the exact spot where God’s temple that was first built by Solomon and then rebuilt by Ezra was once located, but destroyed and stood vacant for a few centuries until the Muslims took control over the temple mount building the Dome of the Rock around 692 AD. The Christian Zionists and Religious Jewish Judaism is the only thing that holds back the last man of lawlessness (son of perdition) from taking his seat in Jerusalem.

Just who is the synagogue of Satan mentioned in Revelation 2:9 and again in Revelation 3:9?

I think they are the religious people who follow their own rules and doctrines and are not really submitted to the rule of Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords.
They may faithfully attend church, support the church, be in leadership roles but who have not put God's will above their own.
They give lip-service to worshiping God but their hearts are far from Him. Their true worship is given to the acquisition of power, wealth and possessions and to the gratifying of their appetites and lusts.

To such people, a Spirit-filled, sold out for Jesus, Christian is an annoyance and an embarrassment.
A Christian who does not seek power, wealth, and possessions as these folk do are considered fools, ignorant, naïve, unsophisticated "Bible thumpers."

I would also include those churches which teach "cheap Grace" and/or "prosperity gospel" rather than the need for repentance and the pursuit of holiness as synagogues of Satan because they lull their members into thinking that they are in God's will and on their way to eternal life when in fact they are leading God's flock to hell because "I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me." (Mat 25:42-43)

I must confess I never thought of the word "synagogue" as being used that way, but I see absolutely no reason why it couldn't mean that.

It's a greek word ,meaning a group of people called out to a meeting or a purpose.synod is often used by Lutheran churches.

Matthew 3 has Sadducee and pharisees being referred to as a brood of vipers. They occupied the Synagogue.
John 8 has Jesus saying they were of their father the Devil who was a murderer from the beginning. And those high ranking elders in the Synagogue were seeking to have Jesus put to death.

The answer would seem to be Sadducee and Pharisee.
Would the Jews of Israel believe Messiah had arrived if Jesus appeared today there?
