yes whell I was being silly when I said this was a silly thread.

In all seriousness, I do like your posts.

I love your post... However, because your so silly most of the time, you have to warn us when your being serious.

I would also sometimes like to know why you are asking a particular question. You ask questions, but you never give your opinion on them. I am kind of new to the forum, so I don't really know the "real" Dave Slayer. (although I have listened to your testimony).

Sometimes when you ask, I wonder if there is a struggle going on that maybe someone here may also be going through and you could help each other. Or maybe not... :shrug

Love, Kelli

I'm not one to be quite as silly on my own. I enjoy them, however, I need to learn to lighten up. :study

I would raise a cautionary note. Some questions to ask,

"Is silliness the same as foolishness?"
"Do many postings drown out questions or answers of those who are more serious?"
"Is this an attempt to gain attention for self which elevates the flesh?"
"Does this honor the Lord?"

One does not need to be lugubrious to be a Christian. It is possible to be light hearted, merry, and joyful without irreverence, mockery, and foolishness.

Dave, I like most of them, especially when they spark a good discussion...but who knows when that will happen. Those that tend to be more...hmmmm....base in tone, I just opt out of. Some make me smile, and others make me think. When you ask a question, I try to answer you with what I really think...I guess I don't see them all as 'silly'. I say, be yourself, and let the Lord lead you. I appreciate that we are all different. I think Tim had some good cautions too, and that may be something to pray about...but I like that you are making the board more interesting overall. The Lord bless you.

I like most of them, and then some of them I don't. Because I'm like, now that is the dumbest question that I have ever heard asked. What I am saying is that some of your questions can be so off the wall, until they are, I can't find the words. :D :-) :lol :screwloose :confused But you as a person I like very much, I really do.

Occasionally I see one I think is worth replying to, and the rest I ignore.

Dave, if you stop posting silly random questions, then someone else is going to have take it up. You can't leave us with all seriousness and debates!!! :crazy

Your posts are one of the things that got me hooked on this forum!

Why thank you, JoJo! That means a lot! :-) Thanks also to everyone else who has taken the time to post their thoughts. I appreciate the honesty displayed in the responses.

I will admit, some of my posts are a bit "off the wall", but that is by design. If you get to know me, you will learn that I am a very intelligent and wise person. I can understand how my silly side can give the wrong impression. I am can be very serious, but I also like to have a good time. I enjoy the debates here and the more serious threads, but I would also like to bring something new to the forums. I feel that many forums are lacking the element of fun.

Part of the reason why I post "silly" stuff here is to try and lighten the mood. Often times at forums, I have witnessed too much tension. I am simply attempting to bring some joy to the forums to relieve some of the tension. I am one who believes there is a time for being serious and a time for having fun. Perhaps I could balance the two out a bit better in the future.

However, what you see of me is who I am. I do not believe it would be good for me to stop being myself to please a few people. I can tone down on the silly posts, but I do not want to feel like I cannot be myself here. Sure, I am different. But you know what? We all are. And that is what makes each person unique. I will always be myself and that is never foolish.

Thank you for reading. God Bless!
Dave
