If you are a Christian, you might want to consider that the standard you should compare yourself to is Christ.

I've enjoyed a few of the silly posts, but most of them are just TOO silly for my taste. I enjoy jokes and being silly sometimes myself and tend to be very facetious, and I agree that God has no problem with having innocent fun. However, there is such a thing as TOO much silliness and TOO many nonsense posts.
Since I'm the only one who seems to have a problem with TOO much childishness in an adult, perhaps I don't belong here. I'm in another Christian Web site where nearly everyone else there is young enough to be my children and even my grandchildren, and yet they all seem to be very mature and don't post a lot of silliness. Maybe I am just too serious, but I think there's a time for seriousness and a time for silliness, and too much of either makes a person either too serious or too silly. I will apologize in advance for any offense I may cause with my opinion.

Just curious, and not to offend any of the "silly post haters" or acuse anyone here whose posted in this thread as being a "silly post hater", and not that I'm intnending any such sort of offensive or hostility towards anyone (sheesh, a person's gotta set themself up with protective armor around here lately because there are way too many people who take offense where none should be taken and ya have to wonder if am I going to be deleted for posing a question or for being too serious with someone, or for insulting someone where no insult was meant? Sheesh. ) .... Oh, and not to say that I have to with you!!!!
So now that that explaing about having to be careful about not offending anyone is out of the way, because, "at times", not all the time, but "sometimes", I've been taken the wrong way far too extremely around here, Hey! really, no offense to anyone... ...........
Soooooooo then, with that out of the way........... I'm Just asking a question.... but...... Why don't you post your silly threads in the Humor Forum?
No offense taken, I respect your opinion. I will say this, however. If you really got to know me, you would see I am not the little immature child you think I am. It may seem that way on the surface but anyone who knows me well will tell you I am an intelligent, mature, and wise person. Don't let my silliness fool ya.

Dave, I have definitely seen your intelligence, maturity and wisdom since I've gotten to know you. And there's nothing wrong with silliness. If we ever get to the point where we feel like we are too "mature" for silly play, then we miss out on so much in life! I know you've injected a healthy dose of laughter into my days and I really needed it! So thank you.
