Who nailed Him ?

Sorry I’m the newbie, I’m lost in all the rhetoric so what’s the answer?
Who nailed Jesus to the cross?
I believe it was sin that nailed Him to the cross.

The Bible says it was the Jews who nailed Jesus to the cross, using the hands of godless men. Acts 2:23

Don't believe everything in the Bible. How could 'the Jews' nail him to the cross? Under Roman law they were no allowed to carry out that form of punishment.

Moving past the the obtuseness of your argument, why do you call yourself a Christian if you don't trust the Bible?

Where does any Creed direct that I, or you, as a Christian, have to 'trust the Bible'? As far as I am aware no Creed claims that it was the Jews who killed Jesus. My Creed says that Jesus was crucified under Pontius Pilate who happens to be a Roman citizen acting with the full authority of Rome.

There is danger construing the biblical texts to your own liking. Sometimes history does matter.

do you beleive He gave his life for you and me and everyone

if you do
we all placed Him on the cross because He loves you and me and everyone who belongs to Him

I beleive the Bible is the Word of God

I love to study the Word

The biblical texts were written by men, probably men, who were trying to understand what God revealed to them. For those who suggest God somehow 'wrote' the Bible one has to ask - which Bible did God intend to write? There are many Bibles nearly all of them different.

I urge you to study the Bible but they first thing you will have to study is how we got the Bible.

You could give lessons to the Pharisees. You openly trust man-made creeds over scripture.

Neither the Romans or the Jews crucified our Lord. The Romans, of course, did the physical deed, and the Jews were all there, but the sons of Cain crucified Christ, those who said they were Jews, but were not, and did lie.

If you don’t believe in God’s Word

Why are you here

I don't believe what other people tell me is God's word.

The reason I am here on this forum is hopefully to try and focus on the issues raised and not fantasy.

If you are really interested in what the Bible has to say at least but a new one and not rely on something that is essentially over 400 years old.
