The point is - there is more going on in the Biblical texts than your simple idealist interpretation. There are over 5500 extant copies of the NT texts, and none of them are original, and very few of them agree with each other.

And, yet, all of them say Pilate released Barabus after trying to get the Jews to accept the release of Jesus. There are 5500 extant copies that all disagree with you.

They all agree that the Barabus vs. Jesus account in Mark is genuine. And, the same point could be said of the same accounts in the other Gospels. I am not questioning the use of the reference, just the use of it over and over again, when in order to support your position you try to find as many examples as you can, not just one in a myriad of translations.

As Hammer said, there have been shown many examples of different translators reading the manuscripts that all agree the Barabbas event, wayseer disputes the Bible as accurate with nothing, nota zilch, not one iota of proof other than to say "Josephus said it" yet he cannot cite it, I have asked him several times to quote where Josephus stated any such and he has yet to come forth with any evidence what so ever....

Yes, during that feast it was obvious by the Bible that it was custom for the Governor to release a prisoner, he asked the people who they should have Jesus or Barabbas, the People chose Barabbas:

I looked it up, and that scripture is NOT part of the 'apocrypha'. So what other scriptures are we meant to take with a pinch of salt then?
