Yes it is, it is called Trinity Broadcasting Company. And has more stations than anyone in the world.

I'm not against TBN, I'm just against some of the teaching on TBN. Some of their programs and programming is ok with me.

Thank you Lewis for clearing that up. Have watched some biblical movies on that Channel...have never really heard or come to see anything yet that would make me question them. Then do not watch TBN that often anymore.

Thought that TBN rang a bell...

They have some good shows on from time to time, like the Case for... movies and the way of the master. But they also have some very bad false teachers on there too Like Benny Hinn & John Hagee.

I dislike TBN because it is completely and utterly irrelevant to my life. Little substance (mostly none), shows that suck, horrible make-up and hairdos, and kooky beliefs. It's like watching bad Anime drawing by an 8-year old attempting to convince people that M&Ms are better than Snickers.

Thanks, but I'd rather go listen to lectures on 18th century theology in the Church of England, practice Lectio Divina, discuss the Enlightenment's influence on biblical interpretation with a Christian friend, exegete the Sermon on the Mount in Greek, and so on. These things actually inform my faith.

There are some good shows and movies on TBN. I say if they are reaching people, touching their lives and bringing them closer to God, then God bless them!

Haha, that's funny. My post was nailed by the word filter. I did not realize there was one on here, nor that that particular word would be filtered. I suppose some Christians are sensitive to the word though. Oh well.

Now I'm really curious! :confused

It's difficult to be for or against something I've never heard of before this.

Nothing too bad. That's why I find it funny that the word is filtered.
When you get people posting and using the word in a derogatory way, it's time to take action. That's all. But think about this; would you use that word while conversing with a Pastor, Deacon, etc?

Actually, I would. I don't find the word offensive, nor do those I typically associate with find it offensive -- which includes pastors, friends, family, colleagues, and so on. However, I will refrain from using the word because I understand those here may find it offensive.

It's not a big deal to me either way. I just found it rather funny.

I'm against purple hair, too much make up and gold throne-like chairs.

The kiddie programming is pretty good though.

Agreed.

I know what the word is! I've always been surprised it blocks it too. And I have used it in conversation with my pastor.

Count me in. All the false teachers and false teaching bring shame to the name of Christ. :naughty

I did get into the band The Benjamin Gate because of one of their video shows...but that's been their only "saving grace" IMO.
