When you become a Christian you become part of the body of Christ. It is right to correct someone whithin the body of Christ. To discipline whithin the body of Christ. The problem this is not done with LOVE and without the LOVE it becomes a self righteous. If I have done wrong as a Christian I would appreciate it if someone or a leader in my church correct me on that matter. I know it would have been done in LOVE.
just came to mind. Don't you think non-christians use this as a defense because Christians don't want to conform to their worldly ways. If I choose not to get drunk at a party, and someone says I am being self righteous because I am a Christian. Is the problem with me? Should I conform to their ways just not to be seen as self righteous? It seems often people like to justify their sinful behaviour by trying to discredit the Christian.

been there done that, i have had that told to me when i refuse to drink or smoke pot while visiting relatives of my wife who sometimes called me a narc, which was false..
or when i was young in the lord and on the drill weekends when the other soldiers would talk about sin, ie sex, read porn, and other things, i would go to the other side of the area usually within 10 to 20 meters and read the bible or pray, or just sleep.. they hated that at first but they eventually accepted me.
ironically when i started acting like they did( i fell into bad habits) they asked me to stop and get right with the lord..
pray the that lord changes me back to a more sanctified christain again as we all get saved and are on fire but then we grow cold.. and eventually bounce back..

It happens. Good friends are gold in the pocket. They help keep us in line. I usually find it best to avoid areas or places that I have been found weak in before. No need to retest what we have already found we are weak in. Better to find the good places. :P

TRUE so true...

What often amazes me~ is that it takes me SO LONG to learn this simple lesson. God grant me greater wisdom and discernment~ and a greater thanksgiving to Him for the gold in my pocket! :clap

Thanks Justvisiting~ :nod
