Bible Study Why Didn't Jesus Perform Miracles As A Child?

The reason that I'm asking this question is that I had a dream that He did as a toddler. However, I do believe that scripture tells us that His first miracle was turning water into wine. So does anybody know if there was an exact reason on why He waited until adulthood?

It wasn't His time yet. And even in the account of the wedding He told His mother as much before performing the miracle.

Matthew 4:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

As a child the heavens were not opened to Him yet until He was later baptized by John and shown by the voice of God that He is the beloved Son of God now with all power and authority from heaven.

Makes sense. :)

A principal purpose of His miracles were to authenticate Him and His message. Likewise with the unique powers the Apostles were given.
He pretty much began performing miracles with the beginning of His public ministry.
I am not sure He couldn't have performed miracles as a child. Only that evidently He didn't.
