The American Pledge of Allegiance says, "one Nation under God"...not one Nation under Government. So why does government leave God out?

it wasn't until 1954 that we had one nation under god and up to 1890 we never had a pledge. the pledge was created by a Christian socialist. he didn't mention under god.i also prefer that it remain but as a former jw. If I said God it meant to me Jehovah. to the Jew its written as G-D. the Heshem and the way they see him isn't a the same as ours. so what is the point if nowadays we have just those three differences. I didn't throw in the hindu, the muslim and also the mormom's idea of God or the uu version.

The liberals dont like Him

I was told by two high ranking supervisors who are in the federal government and are pastors, that they leave God at home when they come to work.

just think, if Daniel had just left Yhvh at home when he ... well.... then the lion would .... no.... there wouldn't have been a lion's den for him.....
and Shadrack , Meshak, and Abednego..... they wouldn't have been thrown in the fire.

and the Apostles, if they had just obeyed their leaders and left Yhvh .... they wouldn't have been martyred , and other people who believed through their preaching wouldn't have died for their faith either !

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 NKJV

If I said luciferians ran the government, that would be too far-fetched for here. As if a pagan egyptian symbol of Horus on the dollar bill isn't enough to show who runs the Federal Reserve. There was a banker. He said something about not caring about who made the laws if he had control of a nation's money. You could look it up. His name was Rothschild. In the end it all runs too deep, and just ask Jesus Christ for direction. He said not to worry about what we have or what we are to do next. Our heavenly father provides: wisdom, protection, understanding. The book of 1 John says that those with faith in Christ overcome the world.

A country is an earthly organisation. It's not a church. And like Jason pointed out there are people of many different religions or without religions in the USA. Diversity is one of your country's greatest strengths! So the pledge should leave it to the individual whether they want God in it or not.

diversity in the untied states, the prominence of unbelievers, of pagans, of abominations, of idolatry, of greed, and so on is more than enough for Yhvh to destroy the country (and He will; unless there is an unprecedented never before seen revival of proportions that surpass all the wars of the last hundred years all together.). Yhvh does not tolerate sin forever. He is only patient as He chooses to be to see IF people will and are willing to turn to Him. Then, when the time is up, He judges and executes His vengeance or His mercy; as He has written in Scripture , Ezekiel, Daniel, Revelation, et al. . . .

How does Romans 13:1-7 (NKJV) fit in?
1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.
4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.
5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake.
6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

In some thread, whether this one or another i don't remember, someone brought that up before - subject to the gov.
it fits in the same as the roman government fit in while the ecclesia were praying.

the Jews preaching the Gospel obeyed the governing powers as long as it didn't violate what Yhvh said to do. Particularly PREACH YESHUA CRUCIFIED, and TELL THE TRUTH.

the Jews wouldn't lift a finger against any other soul to harm them. Soldiers who joined the Jews (ecclesia) sometimes forfeit their lives as soon as they were immersed in Yeshua (and they know that was likely beforehand), because they would lay down their sword (wouldn't injure or kill again if their commander told them to or not) upon being immersed in Yeshua.

remember the nazi exterminators of human life said "we were told to" "we just did what our superiors!? told us to do".

no, the references to all this , specific or general, were read and learned decades ago. they may or may not be found quickly or slowly or at all on the censored internet.

Diversity is not a strength when it surpassed just ability and became every man on for there own agenda. Jesus said a kingdom divided will fall and he just mentioned two. Those that would leave God out, by default live and are under the rule of the other kingdom.

2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them

then its shame on them. I am a Christian and I work for this entity. www.covb.org. I work for the utility side of that. yet I don't have to hide my faith. im not in your face either but im there to work no PREACH.

let me ask if the Christians banned jews from the public square why would you care or don't care? we cant realistically expect a theocratic state to work.i don't want a theocracy. I prefer all worship god , but jesus never said all would.banners and emblems and recitals of jesus are of no use if the persons who hear them don't believe it. been there when we had school prayer.

there are plenty of atheist republicans that don't care for him either. we cant just think the right is on our side. its not. it tends to lean in our views but remember its all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$
signed liberatarian. I don't agree with them fully but for its them or the constutionalist party. either or

Why, because men are lovers of self and have no need of God in their lives as they are their own gods. Hosea 4:6-13

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

2Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

"Anyone who isn't with me opposes me, and anyone who isn't working with me is actually working against me. Matthew 12:30 NLT

I think we spend way to much time trying to fit God into everything that we forget to actually concentrate on the point of the entire exercise. Why are we pledging alegience to a flag? Why does stating under God matter when we praise this flag? Is this not just a ritual? What does the ritual mean to prove or bring about?

Would it not be better suited to ask our population to pledge to defend the freedoms of themselves and others? The flag isn't freedom, its us and our ability to praise what ever god we choose or not choose. That is liberty. To build with out own hands and to wield our own hearts is what makes out enemies tremble.

Its not a flag, or cross, or a mantra. Its the actions that bring us solidarity. A flag is a piece of cloth. A man or woman feeling liberity as they praise whatever Diety they chose and banding together to protect each other is more allegiance then anything a cloth could ever bring me.

Symbols are hollow at the end of the day, they are only as strong until someone breaks the illusion.
