Why Protestant churches dont keep the Sabbath.

Read Acts 15 if you want to get a better understanding.

Yes.

And when you ask them to provide scriptures from Paul or Peter or John or Jesus as to how we as Christians are to specifically observe the Sabbath, they disappear.

JLB
Exactly. If one cares about the actual words written in Scripture, one can see why. Every actual word in Scripture describing keeping the Sabbath, is written explicitly as applying between God and those who are descended from the man named Jacob, whom God renamed to Israel. None of us are this. Christ the Lord Himself, was not this. We are adopted as children of God. Even if our flesh was originally descended from Jacob, we must put this off, and become children of God.

A better understanding about what - keeping the Sabbath or not keeping the Sabbath?

The apostles and diciples were all decendants who were under the Law given to Moses and that's the law of keeping the Sabbath. Yet in Acts 15 it seems to say under the authority of Peter that the law of moses should not be put on the gentile believers to love under as all equally are saved through the grace of Christ.

Peter said
"Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?, ;But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they."
KVJ.

And a letter was sent to gentile churches saying some people were trying to trouble them without authority ( I would guess thay was trying to force them to keep the law given to moses), and the only commands by the Spirit was bascially do not be immoral and to stay away from and not take part in food sacrificed to idols and other gods, and in those days I would say it was common practice in societies around the world to sacrifice and eat to there idols and there gods.

And Paul never preached to the gentiles to live under the law given to moses he jsut tried to explain how the church should be led and how people should look after each other and live in righteousness. He was not pushing and commanding everyone to live under all the many Laws given to Moses and everyone has to be baptised into Moses and try handle the sandle.

I mean anyone can read Acts 15 themsleves. I was just giving my responce going from my observation of scripture and my view.

So, your view is that the Sabbath doesn't need to be observed. I don't know, though. The Sabbath isn't mentioned in the chapter. The yoke being talked about seems to be referring to circumcision since that is what is being addressed in the beginning of the chapter and brought up again in verse 24.

Act 15:5 But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the law of Moses.” (ESV)

I think the yoke is the whole burdensome law.

Matthew 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Matthew 11:30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. 2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. 3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.
