DRAKE said:I believe that is what this verse 17 is talking about.
1 Thess. 4:16. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
18. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Same here. I just place its timing before yours.

Scofield, May I ask when do place the timing of the rapture? are you Pre, Mid, Post, or Pre-Wrath?
You know where I stand, but I don't know where you stand on the issue.

The bible speaks of a "Catching Up"!
Grace Alone said:Many scholars say that the passage Pearly Gate quoted from Mathew is in regards to the destruction of the temple in the first century. Of course, the overwhelming majority believe it speaks of a still-future event.
I'm not sure what I believe as I have not done in depth study on the end times, but I tend to lean post-trib. Hope I'm wrong though!

What are the differences between pre-wrath and mid-trib?
Maybe I should start a new topic, so I don't take this one way off course! After I do some more reading and have a better grasp on this, I'll post my thoughts on a new thread.
GA
My pastor is a PAN- Milleniumist. (SP?) He thinks, "It will all pan out."
Wow, you dug deep to revive this old thread.Someone told me the rapture will come a week from Tuesday.
But I couldn't find that in the Bible.
Be a good Berean and study your Bible.
I have spoke to many who say no...wondering what ya thought. I'm not asking when will it happen just if it will happen.
