Will My Kitty Go to Heaven?

GEDC0244.jpg

I'm pretty sure she has a soul. And I don't think she sins, well unless licking the butter is a sin.

I think animals to go heaven.

What is the age of accountability for the pet?

Do they understand the Bible and asked Jesus to be their Savior?

Sorry folks. Unless they confess Jesus as Lord and believe as stated in John 3:16 they are not going to heaven.

Remember, being a good person, or kitty in this instance, does not get you into heaven.

I really cannot believe I am reading this (insert facepalm smiley here)

So Kitty is going to hell?
Kitty says I should go ask the Catlick priest

i think you should not trouble yourself too much of knowing your kitty is going to heaven or not . God will sure take good care of our pets ...try to look at the people around you , your neighbor , relatives, freinds, and lovedones...are they going to heaven? go and show God's love to this people , make sure they go to heaven with you. :thumbsup

I don't understand why animals would be subject to the same rules as we are when it comes to going to Heaven or not. They don't even have an understanding of right and wrong, so how could they make a choice? (That also means it would be unfair for them to be sent to Hell. Don't think that's happening.)
:shrug

At the worst, it seems they'd just cease to exist. Or maybe they reincarnate. (While that doesn't happen for humans, it may be possible for animals, no?)

Its a humans soul that goes to heaven after our body dies. Animals dont have souls and therefore they just die. There will be animals in heaven, but they will be newly created ones, not our long lost pets. I know its hard, but it comes down to what is more important. Believeing the truth? Or having false hope?

If animals could understand, and did have souls, then God would not have told us that they were okay to kill and eat.. Think how many animals die EVERY day to feed the human race, if animals do have souls then we are comitting mass genocide EVERY day.. Thats much worse an outcome than animals simply dying and going nowhere.

I agree that animals do not have souls. But how can we know that having a soul is a requirement for living in Heaven? All we know is that for those of us who do have souls, we have to make a choice for ourselves.

The Bible also says: "A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast:"~Proverbs 12:10a KJV.
I'm not saying that killing an animal for food is wrong, as it this is the Bible as you pointed out. But based on this verse, we are supposed to treat them well.
Just pointing that out, because what you said could also be twisted around to say that animal abuse isn't wrong.

Rev. 16:3 What do we do with this verse?:chin

[3] And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

Thread isnt about animal abuse. Its about if animals go to heaven or not. I didnt say animal abuse is ok. I stated a fact that many many animals die every day

Hmm, interesting.:)
I'll leave it to others to decide whether or not animals have souls. I'm open to the idea myself, but it doesn't really matter either way.

^^; I didn't think you supported that, but I was hoping to clarify this for those who may try to twist it the wrong way.

If Kitty has no soul, how can she love me?

I know she loves me. Why else would she wash me every night and always sleep next to me with her head on my pillow?

Don't tell me it's because I feed her because I really don't. Most times one of the aides that come in for my mom will fill her bowl. Same with her water. Lots of people are nice to her, but for some reason she bonded to me.

I'm not sure if the ability to love would come from having a soul or not. (And on whether animals have souls or not, I'm kinda on the fence here.)
There are those who would argue that animals are incapable of emotions, but IDK about that. Can't really be proved either way, methinks.

But yeah, I know what you mean. Our pets have distinct personalities and temperaments, and they definitely can bond with us. That's what makes them so endearing.

Here are my dogs, BTW:

The German Shepherd in the background died last year. She was a very loving dog, and was protective of me and my family. She used to follow me everywhere.
She used to snarl at people who tried to hug us. (To a dog, this is seen as a threatening action rather than an affectionate one.) We would tell her it was alright and she'd back off.

The little fuzzball in the foreground is more independent, but he still seems to care about us. He used to try to "protect" me from being woken out of sleep by anyone, including my own mother.

Poor cat. :sad
I had a cat that was run over...
We got another cat that someone in my neighborhood saved from being drowned by some stupid kids and she gave her to us. We had to put her (the cat) in the animal shelter later on, because we were moving to a place where no pets were allowed.

Animals can also experience separation anxiety from being separated from their owners.
And it's rather rare, but there have been some instances similar to Lassie Come Home where the animal will travel thousands of miles to be with it's owner again.

My GSD Cookie had a very close bond with me and my dad used to say that if something were to happen to me, he thinks that Cookie would have died from grief.
Speaking of that, according to my dad, Cookie would also get worried if we were gone from home for too long. For instance, if we were at church, we were usually back around noon. She'd begin to act worried if we took too long.

Another time I was gone for two weeks, away at camp and all, and my dad told me that while I was gone my cat would sit in the window sill and cry like the way a mother cat cries when she loses her kittens.
Speaking of that kitty, Tinker Bell, here's a picture of her:

She's gone now. Died several years ago.
She and Cookie seem to like randomly popping up in my dreams once in a while.

She was. :)
She used to try to cheer me up when I was sad. She'd walk around me, rubbing her cheek on me and then would sit down in my lap and let me pet her.
Once I was all cheered up, she'd get up and walk off to do her own thing.:lol
