Will My Kitty Go to Heaven?

Joe, I think the real question is whether or not your kitty has a 'spirit'.

My understanding is the soul is our emotions, values, etc. and all that makes up our personalities...our consciousness. And, quite frankly, I know animals that have more personality than some people, chuckle, chuckle, snort, snort!

It seems a plant has physical life, but no consciousness, and certainly no spirit. While an animal has physical life and consciousness, and we wonder if it has a spirit that lives on after physical life is gone.

I think about some of the family pets I tormented when I was a kid and kinda hope I will not see them in the next life (for obvious reasons). But I also have (and had) pets I hope I can see again in the next life. Pets I loved and cared for in this life and who seemed to appreciate it and whom I seemed to have more than just a soulish connection to.

Once I was all cheered up, she'd get up and walk off to do her own thing.:lol

Growing up we had a dog that would get up and walk off to do it's own thing, too...in the basement.

It was no fun running down to the basement to watch TV just to find out one of the dogs didn't want to bother anyone to let them out.

What is the age of accountability for the pet?

Do they understand the Bible and asked Jesus to be their Savior?

Sorry folks. Unless they confess Jesus as Lord and believe as stated in John 3:16 they are not going to heaven.
John 3:16 does not support your position: The text is obviously directed at human beings, and leaves the matter of animals untouched.

I'm pretty sure she has a soul. And I don't think she sins, well unless licking the butter is a sin.

I had 4 cats. They all lick the butter and no it's not a sin for them. For me maybe. lol

Had to kill one of my cats yesterday. Thyroid cancer problems spread to her organs. The vet said she wasn't in pain until the advanced stages, couple weeks. That was 2 weeks ago. Well, she started hiding and wouldn't eat anything.

I cried like a baby. Forget ego. I loved her.

Yeah, I imagine pets going to heaven and it's my faith and hope in Jesus Christ that I and all believers be called home with Him. And them.

God is love. Love is all. I don't think heaven would be a state or place or existence (whatever) without the love experienced whether it be person or animal. I honestly believe all love is heavenward. Destined to be there. And if an animal/person relationship demonstrates the essence of love as is His own nature well, then that too will be included. Heaven has no bounds. No genuine love can be excluded from heaven. God cannot deny Himself.

And the multitude sang His praises.
:pray
