So, actually...why do women behave the way they behave and reason the way they reason?
Why?

You know Classik , yesterday I was really hoping that Dortmund (Dortmond) would win the Derby so that I get you to say, Huh?? :chin

Or do we? I have to wonder if we really think all that differently, or we just think we think very differently. Especially after learning about different personality types...some are more thought driven and others are more feelings driven. Everyone has the thought function, but it's not the primary function for everyone. But I haven't seen anything saying that one is typical or men or the other is typical of women.

(I am speaking specifically of MBTI personality types, but realize that it's not necessarily a 100% correct theory. However, for me it makes a lot of sense.)

Maybe this will help clarify the differences between the sexes...

I have seen men just the same act in accordance with woman and vice versa.

I was a child brought up by woman and I see in myself that I am more emotionally driven. Me being a guy has nothing to do with my mentality. Kinda like the fatherless, if a woman was brought up with no father then statistically they will search for it in other men.

At times I feel like I am not understood in the eyes of other guys. Judgment of my respect to woman. Being fatherless myself (before I accepted my heavenly father) I look for woman that were the same. These type of female however only look to break hearts.
My point... We are all broken equally.

You made me roar with laughter!

i think married men understand better....epsecially when they'd have to wait for about 45 mins for their wives to get done with makeover and all those mirror stuff

Not all woman behave alike. Can you specify please.
Same applies to men! Men do men stuff and women do women stuff.

Approaches to things are womanly or the opposite

Hmm, never cared about makeup. Still don't. I'm just now starting to care about my appearance enough to do a little extra, and that's mostly to do with looking for a job.

I think women are different than men in that they have a more complex way of doing things, but also women vary a lot among themselves. I can't remember the last time I saw a group of women all agree on how to do something.:tongue

Like to me, gender is only determined by the body I happen to inhabit? So I have a hard time imagining there being much other difference between the sexes, aside from anything that results from biological differences.

Maybe if there are differences, it is based more on how society has influenced the thinking of men and women.

Great Cesar's Ghost!
This is a thread for the men's lounge!

The short version is...

Both males and females are by nature endowed with personality aspects of God... albeit through our fallen sin natures poor representations of it. And while God is not at variance with himself, we are for the simple fact that we possess unique aspects of his personality and not both.

The antagonistic brawls and outlandish differences between the genders is due to the fallen-ness of our natures.

We can learn affinity with the other gender. But it is a gross evil to try to become the other gender. And fallen human society has been trying to make men of women and women of men for quite some time.

But it is natural not to understand the opposite gender.

I have to wonder about that, honestly. When I was growing up it was always "don't do that, that's not ladylike". But if it I have to be taught to be "ladylike", is it really a part of my gender?
I mean, there are some differences, due to biology and such. Men tend to be more physically strong, probably more aggressive, too, and that's because of different levels of hormones. Also have heard a few times about some differences in the brain, and, in recalling this fact partially retracting an earlier statement, women being a bit more emotionally driven. (Does not mean women are incapable of logic. In fact, many women excel in technical and scientific fields.) Though, personality-wise, men can type as a personality with Fi, introverted feeling, or Fe, extroverted feeling, as a primary function, too*--it's not limited to women.
But most of the differences I was taught to have believed seem little more than something society established.

*I'm citing MBTI again.

You will spend about half an hour on makeover when that cute guys giraffenecks you and is serious. ;-)
